An example method embodiment comprises: storing, by a wireless device, a prior channel estimate that was previously transmitted to another wireless device in a wireless network; receiving, by the wireless device, a request message from the other device, to determine a distortion between a current channel estimate and the prior channel estimate and compare the determined distortion to a distortion threshold value, the request message being a broadcast request message or a measurement request message and the distortion value being either included in the request message, received in another message, or a preconfigured value; determining, by the wireless device, the distortion between the current channel estimate and the prior channel estimate and comparing the determined distortion to the distortion threshold value; and transmitting, by the wireless device, one or more parallel or sequential messages to the other device, indicating presence of the determined distortion greater than the distortion threshold value or indicating an inability to determine a distortion in channel estimates.

    摘要: A first access node of a first network utilizes code sequences, assigned to different user devices, to distinguish at least acknowledgements received in parallel or sequentially from those user devices. The first access node determines from received signaling that a root sequence of the code sequences is in use by a second access node of a second network, then changes that root sequence of the code sequences assigned to the different user devices. In certain examples the access nodes are WLAN access points APs and the acknowledgements are received in response to a group probe/poll. In various embodiments the first AP monitors its neighbors' group probes/polls to learn the root sequences/basic service sets in use in those neighbor networks, or the AP's own stations monitor and send the information in neighbor reports. This latter option can be initiated by the stations themselves, or by the AP.

    摘要: In one aspect the embodiments of the invention provide a method that includes transmitting a first frame comprising a first type of message from a first node for reception by a second node. The first node is associated with a first wireless communication system and the second node is associated with a second wireless communication system. The first type of message includes a first information element for identifying the second node and a second information element for specifying that the first frame is transmitted to initiate a request for simultaneous transmission by the first node and by the second node. The first frame is also received by a third node that is part of the first wireless communication system. The method further includes receiving from the third node a second frame that includes a second type of message. The second type of message identifies the second node and specifies, based on a measurement performed by the third node on the first frame and a measurement performed by the third node on a third frame transmitted by the second node, whether the request for simultaneous transmission is accepted or is not accepted by the third node. The method further includes transmitting a fourth frame that includes the second type of message from the first node for reception by the second node. The second type of message identifies the second node and specifies that the request for simultaneous transmission was accepted by the third node.
