摘要： A display apparatus operable to flexibly perform display control to a plurality of images is provided, when the plurality of images are displayed on the display apparatus, and each image is selected either as a touch operation target or as a remote control target alternatively. The display apparatus comprises: a first display device 12 and a second display device 13 operable to display a first image and a second image simultaneously; a CPU 51 operable to decide either the first image or the second image to be displayed as a remote control target and the other one as a touch operation target; a remote controller 32 operable to accept a control operation input regarding an image to be a remote control target between the first image and the second image; a first touch panel 12a and a second touch panel 13a operable to accept a touch operation input regarding an image to be a touch operation target between the first image and the second image; and a first LED 14 and a second LED 15 operable to indicate that the first image and the second image are either a remote control target or a touch operation target.

摘要： A data terminal device, having a plurality of protocols stored therein, has a data transmitting mode and a data receiving mode. When in a transmitting mode, the terminal device transmits to another data terminal initial data according to one of the protocols. The terminal device then awaits a feed back signal from the other terminal device. If a feed back signal is received, the terminal device transmits the data. If no feed back signal is received, the terminal device transmits a break signal which indicates that a change in receiving protocol is required. When in a receiving mode, the terminal device receives data according to one of the protocols. If data is received having the same protocol as that of the receiver of the terminal device, a feed back signal is transmitted to the other terminal device. If the data protocol received is different, no feed back signal is transmitted, and the terminal device awaits a break signal indicating that change in receiving protocol is required.

摘要： The present invention is intended to offer network terminal devices and an address management server which can communicate with a remote terminal without manually managing the IP address of the remote terminal. A network communication method therefor is also offered. The MAC address of a local terminal, the MAC address of the remote terminal, and the IP address of the address management server are stored in terminal devices. These terminal devices are connected with a network, and an IP address is gained. An inquiry of an IP address corresponding to the MAC address of the remote terminal is made to the address management server. When a response of the IP address of the remote terminal is made from the address management server, an access is made to this IP address.

摘要： In a portable wireless telephone capable of providing a cellular mode which allows users to place or receive telephone calls through a cellular telephone network and a cordless mode which allows the users to place or receive telephone calls through an associated base unit of a cordless telephone, a battery condition is monitored to check whether or not the battery energy is so lowered that the cellular mode becomes inoperative. An LCD unit displays a warning if the battery energy is lowered down to such a low level. However, a micro computer equipped in this portable wireless telephone allows the users to use this portable wireless telephone as a cordless telephone, as long-as the remaining battery energy is sufficient enough to do so. Accordingly, this portable wireless telephone can be still activated in the cordless mode even if it cannot be no longer used as a cellular telephone.
