摘要: A portable electrical power unit includes a housing defining an interior region that receives a power source, such as a rechargeable battery or capacitor, and one or more electrical connectors that are accessible at or through outer surfaces of the housing. The housing includes a substantially flat base for resting atop generally horizontal surface, and may include a power switch for selectively energizing the outlets. Optionally, a charging indicator provides a visual indication of the current capacity or charge level of the onboard power source. The power unit may receive or convey electrical power via direct-contact electrical terminals or via inductive power transmission, and may include additional features such as a location-detecting circuit operable to detect and generate a signal in the event that the power unit is moved out of a predefined area.

摘要: A clamp is provided for securing a device at an opening formed in a mounting surface, such as a table, desk, wall panel, or the like. The clamp includes a substantially vertical member with upper and lower portions, an outwardly extending member that projects outwardly from the vertical member, and an adjustable clamp member that is mounted to the outwardly-extending leg and can be tightened or loosened for installing or removing the clamp. The upper portion of the vertical member engages an interior surface of the mounting surface, while another projection extends from the vertical member and engages a sidewall of the device being secured to the mounting surface.

摘要: An electrical receptacle assembly with protective housing is adapted for installation in unconventional areas or surfaces, including areas that are more susceptible to spills or other contaminants than traditional mounting locations. The electrical receptacle assembly includes a receptacle subassembly with a main receptacle body and a front surface portion in which a plurality of electrical contacts are housed and made accessible to corresponding contacts of an electrical or electronic device. A housing defines a cavity for receiving the receptacle body, and a face plate is coupled to the housing and defines a receptacle opening for engaging and supporting the electrical receptacle subassembly. The face plate may take on many different sizes and shapes for a desired application, while the other components of the electrical receptacle assembly can remain the same.
