An endoscopic task supporting system including: an image storage that stores a plurality of endoscopic images acquired in a time series; a three-dimensional data generation unit that generates three-dimensional data indicating a three-dimensional shape of a predetermined part subject to observation, based on the plurality of endoscopic images stored in the image storage; a two-dimensional image generation unit that generates, from the three-dimensional data generated by the three-dimensional data generation unit, a two-dimensional image corresponding to a viewpoint position and a direction of line of sight entered; and a display control unit that causes a predetermined display unit to display the two-dimensional image generated by the two-dimensional image generation unit.

This spectral-image-obtaining device includes: a line-spectral-image acquiring unit that acquires a plurality of line spectral images; a frame-image acquiring unit that has an image-capturing range that encompasses that over which image capturing is performed by the line-spectral-image acquiring unit and that acquires a two-dimensional frame image that contains fewer color signals than the line spectral images; a comparison-image estimating unit that estimates comparison images for all lines based on the line spectral images acquired by the line-spectral-image acquiring unit and a wavelength characteristic of the frame-image acquiring unit; a line-spectral-image positional-deviation detecting unit that detects amounts of positional deviation between the comparison images estimated by the comparison-image estimating unit and corresponding positions within the frame image; and a positional-deviation correcting unit that fits the line spectral images to corresponding positions within the frame image based on the amounts of positional deviation detected by the line-spectral-image positional-deviation detecting unit.

A recording device includes: a memory; and a processor including hardware. The processor is configured to generate, based on temporal change in plural sets of image data that have been generated by an endoscope and arranged chronologically, biological information on a subject, associate the plural sets of image data with the biological information to record the plural sets of image data with the biological information into the memory, and select, based on the biological information, image data from the plural sets of image data that have been recorded in the memory to generate three-dimensional image data.

An image processing apparatus includes: an image inputting unit configured to input a plurality of images having a portion where at least a part of subjects of the plurality of images is common to one another; and a correction image generating unit configured to generate a correction image used for correcting the plurality of images. The correction image generating unit includes: a difference acquiring unit configured to acquire a difference between luminance of pixels from two arbitrary images of the plurality of images, the two arbitrary images having a common portion where the subjects are common to one another; and a shading detection unit configured to detect a shading component in the arbitrary images based on the difference.
