Abstract: An endoscope apparatus including a connector included in an endoscope and connected to an endoscope connection portion of a video processor, a fluid feeding apparatus including a tube configured to transmit fluid to the endoscope, a connection detector configured to detect a connection state of the tube with the connector of the endoscope, a control unit configured to detect an ON/OFF state of a power source of the fluid feeding apparatus, determine an abnormality exists when the connection detector detects that the tube is in a disconnected state with the connector of the endoscope and the power source of the fluid feeding apparatus is detected to be in an ON state, and output a notification of the determined abnormality, and a display configured to display the notification of the abnormality outputted by the control unit.

Abstract: An endoscope insertion observation apparatus includes a processor designed to perform functions including: detecting an insertion state of an insertion portion of an endoscope that is insertable into and extractable from a subject; determining whether or not the insertion portion has reached a second site in the subject from a first site in the subject and/or whether the insertion portion has reached the first site from the second site in the subject based on a detection result of the insertion state; and calculating a duration of movement of the insertion portion from the first site to the second site after determining that the insertion portion has reached the second site, or a duration of movement of the insertion portion from the second site to the first site after determining that the insertion portion has reached the first site.

Abstract: An endoscope insertion shape observation apparatus includes an endoscope, a magnetic field generation coil provided at an insertion portion of the endoscope and configured to generate a magnetic field, an antenna unit configured to receive a coil signal from the magnetic field generation coil, a bending portion configured to bend the insertion portion, a bending drive section configured to drive the bending portion to bend, an insertion shape processing circuit configured to generate an insertion shape of the endoscope inserted into a subject according to a signal received from the antenna unit, a touch panel configured to display a generation result of the insertion shape processing circuit and be able to perform touch operation, and a drive section control circuit configured to control a drive amount of the bending drive section based on the touch operation on a desired location of the insertion shape displayed on the touch panel.
