Abstract: A diagnostic system, method, and a computer-readable storage medium for determining a severity of a gastric condition, such as gastric cancer, in a subject are disclosed. The diagnostic system includes a processor that can obtain various images of a stomach of the subject including wavelength images and generate difference images from the wavelength images. The processor can compare the subject images with reference images representative of different severity levels of gastric cancer, or can input the subject images into a learned model trained using the reference images stored in the database to extract a feature pattern corresponding to a severity of gastric cancer to diagnose the subject as having a particular severity level of gastric cancer.

Abstract: A treatment tool for an endoscope includes a sheath which is extended along a longitudinal axis; a pre-curved portion which is disposed at a distal portion of the sheath; a knife wire lumen which is formed along the longitudinal axis of the sheath; a first communication hole and a second communication hole which are open on an outer circumferential surface to communicate the outer circumferential surface positioned with the knife wire lumen; a wire-shaped cutting portion which is protruded from the first communication hole and the second communication hole, and is extended in a position spaced from the outer circumferential surface and the virtual plane; a fixing portion which is provided to fix an end portion of a wire connected to the cutting portion inside the knife wire lumen, and a bending portion which is provided to bend the wire.

Abstract: A high-frequency treatment tool for an endoscope includes: a sheath formed of a material having an insulation property; a shaft-shaped member formed of a material having conductivity and inserted to advance and retract in the sheath; and an electrode having a conduit line formed to jet forward a fluid supplied into the sheath, and connected to a distal end section of the shaft-shaped member. The electrode has an outer circumferential surface electrically connected to a contacted tissue to perform treatment, and an inner circumferential surface of the conduit line that faces the fluid when the fluid is supplied. An arithmetic average roughness of the outer circumferential surface is larger than an arithmetic average roughness of the inner circumferential surface, and the arithmetic average roughness of the inner circumferential surface is 0.1 μm or less.

Abstract: A diagnostic system, method, and a computer-readable storage medium for determining a severity of a gastric condition, such as gastritis, in a subject are disclosed. The diagnostic system includes a processor that obtains an image of a stomach of the subject collected by an endoscope. The processor can compare the subject image with reference normal and abnormal stomach images. If the subject image is abnormal, the processor can generate a subject abnormality image indicative of the differences between the subject image and the normal image. By comparing the generated subject abnormality image with reference abnormality images representative of different severity levels of gastritis, the processor can diagnose the subject as having a particular severity level of gastritis.
