    摘要: Gesture based control of objects displayed on touch screen displays is described. An object is displayed on a touch screen display, and a first touch operation is detected at a first position on the display. The first position is within an area that is associated with the displayed object. A second touch operation is detected within the area. After detecting the first and second touch operations another, a third touch operation is detected at a third position. A distance between the third position and the first position is calculated. When the distance is greater than a predetermined value, a copy of the object is displayed on the touch screen display.

    摘要: Methods, electronic terminals, and systems are disclosed for controlling the display of video streams on an electronic terminal. A plurality of the video streams are received at the electronic terminal from the media server. The received video streams are displayed in an ordered set of elements on a display device of the electronic terminal. A user selection of at least a first one of the elements is received. Commands are communicated, responsive to the user selection, from the electronic terminal to the media server to control the quality of service of the video streams that are displayed in each of the non-selected elements in response to their respective location within the ordered set of elements relative to the selected first element.

    摘要: A method includes monitoring a bandwidth currently available for streaming of a segment file pertaining to the selected content asset from a server to the client. A selected content asset is registered by receiving a user-originating request identifying the selected content asset. An adequate segment quality level to be requested is selected based on the currently available bandwidth. A segment to be requested is adaptively selected contingent upon the local availability or quality level of file segments. The segment is requested from the content providing server in the specified adaptively selected adequate segment quality level. The requested segment is received in a current segment quality level corresponding to the adaptively selected adequate quality level, stored locally associated with information regarding its quality level. Received file segments pertaining to the content file are rendered in a manner as specified by a received manifest file pertaining to the content file.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a method and apparatus (100), such as a portable electronic device, for navigating on a touch sensitive screen (110) of the apparatus (100). The method comprises sensing the amount of pressure exerted on the touch sensitive screen (100) by means of a pressure sensor (140). A pressure signal indicative of the exerted amount of pressure is generated. The pressure signal is then used to trigger navigation in a z-direction, i.e. a direction perpendicular to the plane of the touch sensitive screen if the pressure signal is above a predetermined threshold.
