    摘要: Methods, electronic terminals, and systems are disclosed for controlling the display of video streams on an electronic terminal. A plurality of the video streams are received at the electronic terminal from the media server. The received video streams are displayed in an ordered set of elements on a display device of the electronic terminal. A user selection of at least a first one of the elements is received. Commands are communicated, responsive to the user selection, from the electronic terminal to the media server to control the quality of service of the video streams that are displayed in each of the non-selected elements in response to their respective location within the ordered set of elements relative to the selected first element.

    摘要: Gesture based control of objects displayed on touch screen displays is described. An object is displayed on a touch screen display, and a first touch operation is detected at a first position on the display. The first position is within an area that is associated with the displayed object. A second touch operation is detected within the area. After detecting the first and second touch operations another, a third touch operation is detected at a third position. A distance between the third position and the first position is calculated. When the distance is greater than a predetermined value, a copy of the object is displayed on the touch screen display.

    摘要: It is presented a method for bandwidth allocation in a band-width allocation server of a digital video network comprising a restricted channel being a link between a subscriber location and an access node. The method comprises: receiving a bandwidth reservation request to reserve bandwidth on the restricted channel, the bandwidth reservation request comprising a reservation start time; obtaining any existing bandwidth reservations for bandwidth on the restricted channel at least partly covered by the duration of the reservation request, the duration being delimited by the reservation start time; determining whether a bandwidth limit is exceeded by a combination of the bandwidth reservation request and the any existing bandwidth reservations, at any time covered by the bandwidth reservation request; when it is determined that the combination is under the bandwidth limit, handling an acceptance by sending a reservation accept response and storing a reservation corresponding to the bandwidth reservation request; and when it is determined that the combination exceeds the bandwidth limit, handling a rejection by sending a reservation reject response. A corresponding apparatus is also presented.

    摘要: A method of charging for services in a Session Initiation Protocol-based communication network. A Server that provides a service receives a first request message from a user. In response, the server sends the user a restricted address via which services can be obtained. The user sends a second request message to an intermediate network, the second request message including the restricted address where the intermediate network has a trust relationship with the Server. A user identifier associated with the user is authenticated at the intermediate network, which then sends to the Server a third request, the third request including an identity of the user and the restricted address. The Server sends a response message, which includes credentials that the user can use for obtaining the requested service from the restricted address. The intermediate network charges the user for the requested service, and sends the credentials to the user, thereby allowing the user to access the service.
