Abstract:
A user equipment for in use in a mobile communication system includes a receiver that receives control channel signaling including a new data indicator and a modulation and coding scheme field, and processing circuitry which determines that the new data indicator and the modulation and coding scheme field of the control channel signaling indicates a predetermined combination of a new data indicator value and a modulation and coding scheme index. The processing circuitry deactivates a semi-persistent resource allocation in response to determination that the new data indicator and the modulation and coding scheme field of the control channel signaling indicates a predetermined combination of a new data indicator value and a modulation and coding scheme index.
Abstract:
A semi-persistent resource scheduling (SPS) allocation of a user equipment is deactivated in an LTE-based mobile communication system without requiring changes to the Physical layer-to-MAC layer interface and/or changes to PDCCH formats agreed by the 3GPP. A combination of NDI value and MCS index is defined that commands release of SPS resources. An alternative solution proposed defines a special transport block size that when signaled in a PDCCH commands release of SPS resources.

Abstract:
A data packet structure conveys data of service data units (SDU) using protocol data units (PDU). The data packet structure includes a data packet payload having at least one protocol data unit (PDU). A protocol data unit (PDU) includes a service data unit (SDU) or a fragment of a service data unit and a data packet header including an indicator indicating whether or not the data packet payload begins with a protocol data unit (PDU) being a fragment of a service data unit and whether or not the data packet payload ends with a protocol data unit (PDU) being a fragment of a service data unit.

Abstract:
A transmission apparatus controls a transport format for retransmission of data packets transmitted uplink to a receiving apparatus via at least one data channel using an automatic repeat request (ARQ) protocol. A transmitter transmits an uplink data packet via the data channel to the receiving apparatus, and a receiver receives first information along with second information from the receiving apparatus. The first information is used for determination whether to perform a retransmission of the uplink data packet at the transmission apparatus, and the second information indicates a transport format for the retransmission. The transmitter transmits the retransmission from the transmission apparatus to the receiving apparatus according to the transport format indicated in the second information element using a transmission timing based on the ARQ protocol.

Abstract:
A non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium for use with a user equipment in a radio communication system, the non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium storing instructions, that when executed by a processor, cause the processor to control the user equipment to perform operations that include receiving control signalling that includes new data information and modulation and coding scheme information, and releasing a semi-persistent resource allocation when a predetermined combination of the new data information and the modulation and coding scheme information is received. The modulation and coding scheme information in the predetermined combination includes an index of 11111 in binary format that indicates no transport block size information.
