    摘要: An apparatus including a joint spacer for treatment of a joint of a human subject. The joint spacer includes a bioresorbable stent having compressed and expanded configurations and a covering that covers an external surface of the stent. The joint spacer is configured to be inserted into a space of the joint, and is shaped, when the bioresorbable stent is in the expanded configuration, to provide mechanical support to the joint until the bioresorbable stent resorbs into a body of the subject. Treating a joint of a human subject includes inserting a joint spacer into a space of the joint while a bioresorbable stent of the joint spacer is in a compressed configuration, and transitioning the bioresorbable stent to an expanded configuration within the joint, such that the joint spacer provides mechanical support to the joint until the bioresorbable stent resorbs into a body of the subject.

A surgical kit includes the prosthesis and a proximal humeral nail. The fixating means are connectable into a proximal opening of the proximal humeral nail. A method may include: creating a percutaneous passage from an outer-body space to a portion of a humeral head; removing bony tissue to facilitate direct communication between the outer-body space and a humeral medullary cavity enclosed in the humeral head; providing a prosthesis including a subacromial spacer having a surface; and/or fixating the subacromial spacer to the humeral medullary cavity and/or an intramedullary fixator implanted or configured for implantation in the humeral medullary cavity.

    摘要: An apparatus including a prosthetic glenoid component for use in shoulder arthroplasty for articulation with a humeral head. The prosthetic glenoid component includes a bearing body, which is shaped so as to define (a) a concave bearing surface for articulation with the humeral head, and (b) a convex glenoid-contacting surface; and one or more superior cantilevers, which (a) jut out from a periphery of the bearing body, (b) are more flexible than the bearing body, and (c) resist, without preventing, superior migration of the humeral head. In shoulder arthroplasty, providing a prosthetic glenoid component for articulation with a humeral head, and implanting the prosthetic glenoid component such that the convex glenoid-contacting surface contacts a glenoid cavity, and the one or more superior cantilevers resist, without preventing, superior migration of the humeral head.
