Abstract: A signal transmission apparatus includes: a first lead frame; a second lead frame spaced from the first lead frame; a primary semiconductor chip electrically connected to the first lead frame; a secondary semiconductor chip electrically connected to the second lead frame; and a signal isolator through which a signal is isolatedly transmitted from the primary semiconductor chip to the secondary semiconductor chip, the signal isolator having a first main surface that is bonded to both the first lead frame and the second lead frame.

Abstract: A drive device that drives a semiconductor switching device includes a capacitor and an output selection unit that selects whether or not to supply charge of the capacitor to a conduction control terminal of the semiconductor switching device, in which the output selection unit includes a first switching device and a second switching device, the charge of the capacitor is supplied to the conduction control terminal of the semiconductor switching device by the first switching device going to a conducting state, the charge is extracted from the conduction control terminal of the semiconductor switching device by the second switching device going to the conducting state, and a gate width of the second switching device is smaller than the gate width of the first switching device.

Abstract: A signal generation device, including: an insulation element having transmission and reception units, and isolatedly transmitting an input wave introduced to the transmission unit, to thereby output an output wave from the reception unit; a power unit generating a voltage according to the output wave; a terminal having an output signal corresponding to the voltage; a generation unit generating a control signal; an insulation unit isolatedly transmitting the control signal, and generating a drive signal according to the control signal; a selection unit selecting whether to output the output signal to the terminal, according to the drive signal; a detection unit generating a detection signal indicating the state of the output signal, according to a detection wave obtained from the transmission unit; and a control signal adjustment unit adjusting the control signal according to the detection signal, the output signal being adjusted according to the adjustment of the control signal.
