Abstract: A transmission apparatus comprises an assignment information generator which, in operation, assigns resources on a resource unit (RU) basis to one or more terminal stations (STAs) and generates assignment information that specifies RUs allocated to the one or more STAs; a transmission signal generator which, in operation, generates a transmission signal that includes a legacy preamble, a non-legacy preamble and a data field, wherein the non-legacy preamble comprises a first signal field and a second signal field that carry a set ID and the assignment information, and wherein the set ID identifies one assignment set comprising the one or more STAs and a plurality of assignment indices, and wherein the assignment information comprises a resource assignment indication for each of a plurality of assignment which are referenced by the plurality of assignment indices; and a transmitter which, in operation, transmits the generated transmission signal.

Abstract: A transmission apparatus comprises circuitry that generates a physical protocol data unit (PPDU) that contains a legacy signal field and a first signal field wherein both of the legacy signal field and the first signal field comprise an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbol, and the first signal field is derived from the legacy signal field, and a transmitter, which, in operation, transmits the PPDU. A format of the PPDU is indicated based on whether a part of bits of the first signal field is inverted or not. The format of the PPDU is a first format or a second format, and data subcarriers of the first signal field in the second format have inverted values of corresponding values in the legacy signal field, and pilots of the first signal field in the second format are not inverted and have same values of corresponding values in the legacy signal field.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to the prioritization of devices taking part in a multi-user random access wireless communication. Based on some known conditions, devices that comply with the conditions are given preferential treatment during the random access period. The preferential treatment may refer to the eligible devices being allowed to access more resource units during the random access, or it may also mean faster access to the medium during the random access. By taking advantage of the methods described in the present disclosure, it is possible to assign higher priority to selected frame types and/or device categories in a multi-user random access wireless communication system.

Abstract: A transmission method comprises: generating a transmission signal including OFDM symbols, wherein the last OFDM symbol of the OFDM symbols can be partitioned into four segments, and wherein the generating includes: computing an initial padding factor value associated with one of the four segments and computing an initial number of OFDM symbols; determining a user with a longest packet duration among plural users; determining a common padding factor value being the initial padding factor value and a common number of OFDM symbols being the initial number of OFDM symbols of the determined user with the longest packet duration; adding pre-FEC padding bits toward one of four possible boundaries of the last OFDM symbol, the one of four possible boundaries being represented by the determined common padding factor value; and adding post-FEC padding bits in remaining segment(s) of the last OFDM symbol; and transmitting the generated transmission signal.
