Abstract: A disclosed manufacturing method is a method for manufacturing an electrolytic capacitor that includes an anode foil having a dielectric layer formed on a surface thereof, a cathode foil, and a separator. The manufacturing method includes, in the following order: a polymer layer formation step of forming a conductive polymer layer containing a conductive polymer component on the separator and at least one surface selected from a surface of the dielectric layer and a surface of the cathode foil; a stacked body formation step of forming a stacked body by stacking the anode foil, the cathode foil, and the separator; a liquid application step of impregnating the conductive polymer layer included in the stacked body with a liquid that includes water and an organic compound that does not boil at 100° C. under 1 atm; a removal step of removing a portion of the liquid with which the conductive polymer layer has been impregnated, such that the organic compound remains in the conductive polymer layer; and an impregnation step of impregnating the stacked body subjected to the removal step with a liquid component.

Abstract: A multilayer varistor includes a sintered body, a first external electrode, a second external electrode, a first internal electrode, a second internal electrode, and a high-resistivity portion. The first internal electrode is provided inside the sintered body and electrically connected to the first external electrode. The second internal electrode is provided inside the sintered body and electrically connected to the second external electrode. The high-resistivity portion includes: a surface high-resistivity portion provided to cover a surface of the sintered body; and an inner high-resistivity portion extended inward from the surface high-resistivity portion inside the sintered body.

Abstract: A disclosed manufacturing method includes a laminated body formation step of forming a laminated body by laminating an anode foil, a cathode foil, and a separator such that the separator is arranged between the anode foil and the cathode foil, and a polymer layer formation step of impregnating the laminated body with a dispersion liquid containing a conductive polymer and a dispersion medium, and then evaporating at least a portion of the dispersion medium of the dispersion liquid in the laminated body to form a conductive polymer layer containing the conductive polymer in the laminated body. The laminated body formation step further includes a step of surrounding an outer periphery of the laminated body with a binding member. The separator has a protrusion part that protrudes from the binding member. In the polymer layer formation step, the laminated body is impregnated with the dispersion liquid from the protrusion part.

An amount of the conductive particles present in a first portion included in the electrolyte layer and located on the dielectric layer side is different from an amount of the conductive particles in a second portion included in the electrolyte layer and located on the cathode body side.
