Abstract:
A process for molding a tire having a wide bearing surface comprising the steps of molding reinforcing shoulders in a static mold and partially curing the molded materials; removing the partially cured shoulders from the static mold and placing them in a rotating mold; introducing additional plastic material into the rotating mold and rotating the mold; and then heating the mold to complete the curing of the shoulders and to fully cure the additional plastic material to form the tire casing.
Abstract:
Rigging for a land or water vehicle comprises a symmetrical sail and a support therefore which is fitted with a tension member, the frame supporting the sail comprises two vertical uprights assembled together by hinged transverse bars, the rigging becoming asymmetrical when the middle tension member is actuated.
Abstract:
A harness for sail board operators including a chest belt and shoulder straps. A hook carried by a plate on the belt attaches to a connecting element whose other end is fastened to the rigging. The hook pivots about an axis between a hooked-up position and a released position for the connecting element. The connecting element provides the releasing pivot force and a rip cord activates the mechanism which causes the releasing pivotal movement.
Abstract:
A transportable sail board has one or more inflatable bladders, and an envelope subdivided into plural demountable longitudinal sections. Rigidifying elements cooperate with bladder and envelope to form a demountable, lengthwise rigid assembly.
Abstract:
Steerable movement over unimproved, grassy or snowy ground is provided by a chassis carrying front and back elliptical wheels, wider than they are high, the front wheel being pivotable in a horizontal plane.
Abstract:
Rigging for nautical or terrestrial craft comprising a sail (1) integral with a mast hinged to the craft. According to the invention, the sail (1) is stretched onto symmetrical uprights (2) which are themselves bent by a cable (7) tensioned by a hoist (10) so as to give the sail a lenticular shape.
Abstract:
A tire having a wide bearing surface and including reinforcing shoulders at the lateral extremities of a transverse hub, the hub, shoulders and casing being of unitary, monobloc construction.
Abstract:
A trailer is formed of a core with upper sloping surfaces having protruding bosses engageable by angled protrusions from load-bearing arms. The core is placed between the trailer wheels, which are preferably wider than they are high. The arm protrusions can be turned to engage the bosses in different ways to produce different load-bearing configurations.
