摘要: A user of an accessibility device is taught to properly use the device with a test image such that the accessibility device captures the entirety of or a large portion of a test image. In training the user, the device processes test image's information located within the device's field of view. Based on this processed information, the device indicates to the user if the device should be re-positioned such that a larger portion of the test image comes within the device's field of view.

摘要: A method for the assessment of neuromuscular function by the detection and classification of late wave activity, comprising: (i) pre-processing an ensemble of traces so as to attenuate noise, PFI and baseline disturbances; (ii) identifying time segments of late wave activity in the ensemble of traces; (iii) classifying the time segments of late wave activity into F-wave, A-wave and Repeater segments by exploiting the variable morphology of F-waves across the traces and the fixed morphology of A-waves and Repeater waves across the traces; and (iv) searching the traces in the vicinity of the F-wave trace segments on a trace-by-trace basis so as to identify the F-wave onset latency.

摘要: A computer network includes a transmitter, a receiver, and a communication channel system interconnecting the transmitter and receiver. All components in the system may be physical equipment or may be models having predefined operational characteristics. The predefined operational characteristics may be monitored or modified to obtain benchmarking and error rates for the computer network.

摘要: Interpreting alternans data includes accessing alternans data and automatically evaluating the alternans data to produce one or more interpretation parameters based on the alternans data. The interpretation parameters are used to generate interpretation results related to the alternans data. Finally the interpretation results are made accessible for examination.

摘要: A signal-based cable attenuation measurement device, system and methodology provides measurement of attenuation characteristics of a cable over a wide frequency spectrum. Located at a single location on a cable, a measurement device injects a signal on to the cable under measurement and receives the reflected signal, recording physical characteristics of the cable in response to the signal. A model, calibrated to estimate the effects of the cable with known impedances, evaluates the waveform generated from the cable's response to the signal and computes attenuation of the cable as a function of frequency. In some circumstances, when low signal-to-noise effects result, normally at high frequencies in long cables, the attenuation of the cable is further fitted to the model to correct the errors that occur as a result of the low signal-to-noise effects.
