Based on the stored before-after replacement information, all the signal addresses to be replaced are searched for in the editing target sequence program or replacement target symbol information. Replacement of the searched signal address with a corresponding after-replacement signal address is executed in accordance with the before-after replacement information.

    摘要: A method for modifying data to be used by a program of a data processing system, in particular a controller for controlling an assembly. The data is stored in a first memory in the form of reference data. The memory addresses of the reference data in the first memory are stored in a reference data memory address table in the first memory so that they can be accessed by the program. According to this method, the reference data memory address table is copied to a second memory in the form of a working data memory address table to be addressed by the program, and the reference data to be modified is copied to the second memory in the form of working data to be modified.     摘要: An industrial controller having a number of addressable I/O modules, employs an I/O map table linking software addresses used for developing the control program to actual physical addresses of the I/O modules on a network. By employing software addresses for connection points to the control process, the program may be developed independent of the topology of the network connecting the processor to the I/O modules and changes in that topology may be made without affecting the control program, but simply by changing the I/O map table.
