摘要： A novel gene (designated 121P1F1) and its encoded protein are described. While 121P1F1 exhibits tissue specific expression in normal adult tissue, it is aberrantly expressed in multiple cancers including prostate, bladder, kidney, brain, bone, cervical, uterine, ovarian, breast, pancreatic, stomach, colon, rectal, leukocytic, liver and lung cancers. Consequently, 121P1F1 provides a diagnostic and/or therapeutic target for cancers, and the 121P1F1 gene or fragment thereof, or its encoded protein or a fragment thereof used to elicit an immune response.

摘要： A novel gene (designated PHOR-1) that is highly over-expressed in prostate and other cancers and its encoded protein are described. PHOR-1 is a G protein-coupled receptor with homology to receptors involved in olfaction. PHOR-1 in normal human tissues is restricted to prostate, and this gene is highly over-expressed in prostate cancer as well as in cancers of the kidney, uterus, cervix, stomach and rectum. Consequently, PHOR-1 provides a diagnostic and/or therapeutic target for prostate cancer.

摘要： A transverse wedge connector system for forming an electrical connection with first and second elongate electrical conductors includes an electrically conductive first connector member, an electrically conductive second connector member, an insert member, and a clamping mechanism. The clamping mechanism is selectively operable to displace the first and second connector members relative to one another from an open position to a closed position to clamp the first conductor between the first channel portion and the second abutment surface, and to clamp the second conductor between the second channel portion and the first abutment portion to thereby form a connection.

The implant has first and second plates that each mate with a vertebral body. Each plate has one side for mating with a vertebral body. The first plate has a socket on one side, and the second plate has an elongated ball on one side. The ball of the first plate and the socket of the second plate form a ball-and-socket joint when the two plates are in contact with each other. The implant achieves a range of motion equivalent to a natural range of motion.
