摘要: A system for authenticating a physical object includes an enrolment device, an authentication device, and a storage for storing authentication data. The enrolment device includes an input for receiving a property set Y of the object measured using a measurement procedure. A processor is used for creating a property set I from the measured property set Y that meet a predetermined robustness criterion. It then creating a property set A from the property set I that includes less information on the actual properties than property set Y, and finally generates a control value V in dependence on properties of the property set A. An output is used for supplying the control value to the storage as part of the authentication data. The enrolment device operates in an analogous way.

摘要: The invention relates to the control of networked lighting systems, particularly large scale networked lighting systems, and more specifically to an efficient transmission of messages to control luminaries of a networked lighting system. A basic idea of the invention is to provide an efficient and flexible multicast, particularly group cast message that addresses several or a group of luminaires, and that can control the addressed luminaries in an efficient way by compressing the distributed light settings using a function in order to reduce the communicational overhead. An embodiment of the invention relates to a method for controlling a networked lighting system comprising the steps of—selecting several controllable luminaries of the networked lighting system (S10), —combining control information for each one of the selected luminaries to a set of information control information (S12), —selecting at least one predetermined function for compressing the set of control information by associating an input related to a selected controllable luminary to the control information for the selected controllable luminary from the set of control information (S14), —creating a multicast message addressed to the selected luminaries and comprising information regarding the selected predetermined function (S16), and—transmitting the created multicast message (S18).

摘要: The present invention relates to a method of authenticating an individual (321) at an authenticating device (311) and an authenticating system for authenticating an individual. A basic idea of the present invention is to store, at a device or a system with which an individual wishes to authenticate herself, one or more data structures each comprising a value based on an identifier pertaining to the individual and an encrypted copy of the identifier. When the individual wants to authenticate herself, she contacts the authenticating device whereby a request is made to attain the encrypted identifier included in a specific data structure stored at the authenticating device. The individual subsequently provides proof to the authenticating device that she actually knows the identifier.

摘要: A wireless network (1) comprises basic service sets (6, 7) and a distribution system (8). Each of the basic service sets (6, 7) comprises stations (2, 3) and stations (4, 5), respectively. Thereby, data is moved between their basic service sets (6, 7) and said distribution system (8) via access points (10, 11), which are also stations (3, 4). A medium access control architecture incorporating a distributed coordination function as an access method is provided. Thereby, a normal mode and a mesh mode are provided. Thereby, normal mode is used to transmit data between stations (2, 3; 4, 5) within each of the basic service sets (6; 7). In mesh mode, data is transmitted between the access points (10, 11). To priorize transmission within the distribution system (8) the stations (2, 5), which are not mesh devices, are silence during mesh mode. Therefor, one of the access points (10, 11) sends a request to send in which the address of the access point (10, 11) is used as both the transmitter address and the receiver address of this request to send.

The estimated time stamps are produced according to: ìt=ìt−1+&bgr;t and such that the value of &bgr;t is made dependent on the exceeding by #ot−ìt−1−&bgr;t−1 # of max[&egr;t]. The results are accurate and smooth estimated time stamps.

The first communication channel is formed by modulating information in the emitted light (116) of the light source (110). The light source (110) comprises a challenge generator (118), a light source transmitter (112), a light source receiver (122) and an authorizing means (120). The challenge generator (118) generates a challenge with a cryptographic function receiving an argument comprising a first cryptographic key. The light source transmitter (112) transmits the challenge via the first communication channel. The light source receiver (122) receives a response from the device via the second communication channel. The authorizing means (120) authorizes the device (150) to control the light source (110) by matching the received response with a reference, and if the received response matches the reference, the device (150) is authorized. The device (150) comprises a device receiver (152), a response generator (154) and a device transmitter (156). The device receiver (152) receives the challenge via the first communication channel. The response generator (154) generates the response with the cryptographic function which receives arguments comprising the received challenge and a second cryptographic key. The device transmitter (156) transmits the response to the light source via the second communication channel.
