In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a master information block that includes information indicating one or more parameters for communication in a dedicated spectrum for one or more dedicated spectrum UEs. The UE may perform or refrain from performing, based on the master information block and whether the UE is one of the one or more dedicated spectrum UEs, at least part of an initial access procedure for communicating with a network node over the dedicated spectrum.
