Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a measurement configuration for a plurality of cells. The UE may perform measurement of each of the plurality of cells in an order, wherein the order is based at least in part on a priority, wherein the priority is based at least in part on an aggregated downlink bandwidth. The UE may transmit a measurement report based at least in part on the order. Numerous other aspects are described.
Abstract:
Various aspects include methods for managing communication links with different networks. A user equipment (UE) processor may start a first retry timer in a first network communication module in response to receiving a connection reject message from a first communication network, send a value of the first retry timer to a second network communication module, start a second retry timer in the second network communication module based on the value of the first retry timer, send a service request from the second network communication module to a second communication network, and send a connection success message from the second network communication module to the first network communication module upon establishing a communication link with the second communication network before the second retry timer expires. The first communication network may be a terrestrial cellular network and the second communication network may be a satellite communication network.
Abstract:
A method of wireless communication by a user equipment (UE) supporting multiple subscriptions, includes camping on a first cell of a first radio access technology (RAT) with a first data subscription, and camping on a second cell of a second RAT with a second data subscription. The method also includes triggering a transition to the first cell of the first RAT for the second data subscription. The method further includes performing, with the first data subscription, activities on behalf of the second data subscription.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure propose techniques for independently signaling features supported by a user equipment (UE) in different duplexing modes. The UE may be capable of communicating in frequency division duplexing (FDD) and time division duplexing (TDD) modes. The UE may obtain a FDD-specific feature group indicators (FGIs) set and a TDD-specific FGIs set, and signal at least one of the FDD-specific FGIs set or TDD-specific FGIs set. In addition, the UE may take one or more actions to reduce the likelihood of transitioning to a mode of operation that is different from its current mode of operation.
Abstract:
A method for 1x/LTE dual domain camping with a single radio UE is described. The method includes adaptively sharing a first receive chain and a second receive chain between a first radio access technology (RAT) modem and a second RAT modem of the single radio UE.
Abstract:
An apparatus for wireless communication is provided. The apparatus is configured to obtain, based on a first mobile alert associated with a first subscriber identity module (SIM) being scheduled for broadcast from a first network, an indication of receiver resources assigned for receiving the first mobile alert associated with the first SIM. The apparatus is further configured to refrain, based at least in part on the indication, from receiving a second mobile alert associated with a second SIM scheduled for broadcast from a second network. The first mobile alert and the second mobile alert may be associated with messages from at least one of a CMAS or an ETWS.

Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may initiate a broadcast or multicast (broadcast/multicast) application associated with a first radio access technology (RAT) while the UE is in a standalone mode for a second RAT; switch from the second RAT to the first RAT based at least in part on initiating the broadcast/multicast application; and switch from the first RAT to the second RAT based at least in part on failing to detect a communication associated with the broadcast/multicast application using the first RAT. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may establish, via a first subscriber service, at least one protocol data unit (PDU) session. The UE may receive a first internet protocol (IP) address associated with the first subscriber service. The UE may register the first subscriber service with an IP multimedia subsystem (IMS) network using the first IP address. The UE may register a second subscriber service with the IMS network using a second IP address, wherein the second subscriber service uses the at least one PDU session of the first subscriber service. Numerous other aspects are described.
Abstract:
In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may communicate using a first radio access technology (RAT) for a first subscription of the UE, wherein the first RAT is selected from a group that includes a first cellular RAT associated with the first subscription, a second cellular RAT associated with a second subscription of the UE, and a wireless local area network (WLAN) RAT. The UE may communicate using a second RAT for the second subscription of the UE, wherein the second RAT is selected from the group that includes the first cellular RAT associated with the first subscription, the second cellular RAT associated with the second subscription of the UE, and the WLAN RAT. The UE may transition, based at least in part on a condition, a communication link carrying a protocol data unit (PDU) session from the second subscription to the first subscription. Numerous other aspects are described.
