Abstract: Disclosed are techniques for communication. In an aspect, a wireless node transmits an indication of a capability of the wireless node to support carrier phase measurements of positioning reference signals (PRSs) at one or more carrier frequencies for position estimation of user equipments (UEs). In an aspect, a position estimation entity receives the indication and transmits a message associated with carrier phase measurement-based PRS procedure of a UE. In an aspect, the UE receives the message and determines a subset of plurality of wireless nodes for a carrier phase measurement-based PRS procedure. In an aspect, the UE transmits at least one measurement report associated with the carrier phase measurement-based PRS procedure to a position estimation entity.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques provide for detecting when a control link between a user equipment (UE) and a base station is lost and recovering the control link. In one example, a UE may detect that a control link with a base station is lost based on a timer or counter expiring or based on failing to receive signaling from the base station. In another example, a UE may be configured to transmit uplink transmissions to a base station to maintain a control link with the base station, and the base station may detect that a control link with the UE is lost if the base station fails to receive one or more uplink transmissions from the UE. If the control link is lost, the base station and the UE may communicate to re-establish the control link.

Abstract: Aspects presented herein may improve UE positioning by providing enhanced resource patterns that may reduce positioning latency and resource overhead for the UE positioning. In one aspect, a transmitter divides a reference signal associated with UE positioning into a plurality of sub-bandwidths, each of the plurality of sub-bandwidths being associated with a comb offset. Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support mechanisms for determining a joint priority of sidelink and access link (Uu) positioning reference signal (PRS) transmissions in a wireless communication system. A joint priority of a PRS transmission may refer to a priority of the PRS transmission over the entire set of PRS transmissions including sidelink PRS transmissions and Uu PRS transmissions transmitted to a target UE in a sidelink positioning session. In aspects, a joint priority of a sidelink PRS transmission from an anchor UE may be determined with respect to not only other sidelink transmissions, but also with respect to other Uu PRS transmissions from other anchor base stations. Similarly, a joint priority of a Uu PRS transmission from an anchor base station may be determined with respect to not only other Uu transmissions, but also with respect to other sidelink PRS transmissions from other anchor UEs.
