摘要: A method of decoding point cloud data comprises obtaining a bitstream that includes an arithmetically encoded syntax element indicating a vertical point position offset within a node of a tree that represents 3-dimensional positions of points in a point cloud represented by the point cloud data; and decoding the vertical point position offset, wherein decoding the vertical point position offset comprises: determining a laser index of a laser candidate in a set of laser candidates, wherein the determined laser index indicates a laser beam that intersects the node; determining a context index based on whether the laser beam is above a first distance threshold, between the first distance threshold and a second distance threshold, between the second distance threshold and a third distance threshold, or below the third distance threshold; and arithmetically decoding a bin of the vertical point position offset using a context indicated by the determined context index.

The one or more processors are configured to parse a first parameter set, the first parameter set being signaled in a bitstream data once per sequence of a group of encoded pictures. The one or more processors are configured to parse one or more dynamic range adjustment (DRA) syntax elements in a second parameter set, the second parameter set being signaled in the bitstream and being related to at least one picture in the group of encoded pictures, wherein the parsing of the one or more DRA syntax elements is not dependent on any syntax element of the first parameter set, and process the at least one picture based on the first parameter set and the second parameter set.

摘要: A video coder performs a Most-Probable Mode (MPM) derivation process that derives one or more MPMs for a current block that is not coded using affine linear weighted intra prediction (ALWIP). As part of performing the MPM derivation process, the video coder determines whether a neighboring block of the current block is an ALWIP-coded neighboring block. Based on the neighboring block being an ALWIP-coded neighboring block, the video coder determines that a value of an intra prediction mode of the neighboring block is a value indicating a planar mode. The video coder codes the current block based on one of the MPMs for the current block.

摘要: A video encoder may be configured to apply a multi-stage quantization process, where residuals are first quantized using an effective quantization parameter derived from the statistics of the samples of the block. The residual is then further quantized using a base quantization parameter that is uniform across a picture. A video decoder may be configured to decode the video data using the base quantization parameter. The video decoder may further be configured to estimate the effective quantization parameter from the statistics of the decoded samples of the block. The video decoder may then use the estimated effective quantization parameter for use in determining parameters for other coding tools, including filters.

The picture size applies a picture size restriction to set a width of the picture and a height of the picture to each be a respective multiple of a maximum of 8 and a minimum coding unit size for the picture. The method further includes determining, by the one or more processors, a partition of the picture into a plurality of blocks and generating, by the one or more processors, a prediction block for a block of the plurality of blocks. The method further includes decoding, by the one or more processors, a residual block for the block and combining, by the one or more processors, the prediction block and the residual block to decode the block.
