Abstract:
Methods are provided that enable mitigation of desense from a transmission on a first radio frequency (RF) resource associated with a first SIM to a receiver circuit of a second RF resource associated with a second SIM in the same device. A multi-SIM wireless device, such as a dual-SIM dual active (DSDA) device, may utilize characteristics of uplink and downlink signals to determine an optimal action that reduces interference from conflicting signals. Mitigating actions do not require involvement on the network side, and may greatly improve processing time for implementing interference prevention measures.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication by a wireless communication device are described. A circuit switched fallback from an LTE cell to a GERAN cell is initiated. A system information type 3 message is received. The GERAN cell is accessed based on the system information type 3 message without receiving a system information type 13 message. A circuit switched connection is established on the GERAN cell. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.
Abstract:
Devices, systems, articles of manufacture, and methods scheduling subscription procedures on a wireless communication device are described. According to some embodiments, the wireless communication device communicates with a first subscription. The wireless communication device can perform a concurrent burst-level tune-away procedure with a second subscription. The wireless communication device also returns to communication with the first subscription. The tune-away procedure enables a communication device to interact with multiple subscriptions (e.g., multiple SIM-based subscriptions). Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.
Abstract:
A method is provided for conserving power on a wireless communication device having multi-subscription capabilities. Instead of scanning different paging channels for each of a plurality of subscriptions, power may be conserved by using a single paging channel from a serving access network for all paging messages from the plurality of subscriptions. The wireless communication device may provide a serving access network information for the plurality of subscriptions, where each of the plurality of subscriptions is associated with a different paging channel. The serving access network may select or obtain a single paging channel for all paging messages from different core networks associated with the plurality of subscriptions. The wireless communication device may be informed of the selected paging channel by the access network so it monitors for paging messages for all subscriptions on that selected paging channel only.
Abstract:
Devices, systems, articles of manufacture, and methods scheduling subscription procedures on a wireless communication device are described. According to some embodiments, a channel condition metric is obtained by the wireless communication device. The wireless communication device determines a number of uplink bursts to be transmitted at a non-reduced transmit power level based on the channel condition metric. The determined number uplink bursts are transmitted at the non-reduced transmit power level. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.
Abstract:
The various embodiments include a dual-SIM-dual-active (DSDA) device and methods for implementing robust transmit (Tx) processing to resolve radio frequency coexistence interference between two subscriptions operating on the DSDA device. The DSDA device may detect when one subscription (the “aggressor”) de-senses the other subscription (the “victim”) as a result of the aggressor's transmissions, and in response, implement robust Tx processing to mitigate the effects of de-sense on the victim.
