Abstract:
Devices, systems, articles of manufacture, and methods scheduling subscription procedures on a wireless communication device are described. According to some embodiments, a channel condition metric is obtained by the wireless communication device. The wireless communication device determines a number of uplink bursts to be transmitted at a non-reduced transmit power level based on the channel condition metric. The determined number uplink bursts are transmitted at the non-reduced transmit power level. Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.
Abstract:
Methods are provided that optimize Voice over Adaptive Multi-user channels on One Slot (VAMOS) communications by recognizing that up to four independent communications are located on the same device, and assigning them to sub-channels of the same VAMOS channel. A VAMOS-capable multi-SIM wireless device such as a dual-SIM dual active (DSDA) device may have up to four simultaneous active calls on the same access network. When assigned to the same VAMOS channel, the up to four active calls may be merged to all use the same radio on the device.
Abstract:
Systems, methods, and devices providing a framework which reduces the amount of switching required by single transceiver hardware chain mobile devices operating multiple cellular technology and/or service stacks. The various embodiments enable two or more service stacks on the mobile device of various cellular technologies (e.g., 3GPP GSM, UMTS, LTE, WCDMA, etc), to share information, such as network measurements. The various embodiments may also enable one service stack to perform procedures for and provide information to another service stack.
Abstract:
Devices, systems, articles of manufacture, and methods scheduling subscription procedures on a wireless communication device are described. According to some embodiments, the wireless communication device communicates with a first subscription. The wireless communication device can perform a concurrent burst-level tune-away procedure with a second subscription. The wireless communication device also returns to communication with the first subscription. The tune-away procedure enables a communication device to interact with multiple subscriptions (e.g., multiple SIM-based subscriptions). Other aspects, embodiments, and features are also claimed and described.
