Abstract:
A method for wireless communications, comprising: signaling, to a user equipment (UE), an indication of one of at least two rules regarding how quasi co-location (QCL) configured for the UE should be applied for one or more DMRS ports; and sending downlink transmission to the UE with the one or more DMRS ports; receiving signaling from a base station and processing signals received on one or more DMRS ports based on the indicated rule. Said method improves communications between access points and stations in a wireless network.
Abstract:
A method of wireless communication includes configuring a small cell with activation parameters. The activation parameters include a new carrier type having a reduced periodicity. The method also includes configuring a UE with time restricted measurements. The time restricted measurements correspond to the new carrier type and the reduced periodicity. The method further includes receiving small cell signal measurements from the UE and initiating an activation sequence in response to the small cell signal measurements.
Abstract:
Wireless communications systems and methods related to autonomous uplink transmission in a shared spectrum are provided. A first wireless communication device identifies a transmission opportunity (TXOP) in a shared spectrum shared by the plurality of network operating entities. The first wireless communication device is associated with a first network operating entity of the plurality of network operating entities. The first wireless communication device identifies a resource in the TXOP designated for autonomous communication. The first wireless communication device communicates autonomous data with a second wireless communication device associated with the first network operating entity during the TXOP using the resource.
Abstract:
Methods and apparatuses for wireless communications are described. The aspects relate to a frame structure for new radio shared spectrum. For instance, the frame structure may provide shared medium access by multiple operators in a new radio shared spectrum system. Specifically, the present aspects provide for utilizing reservation preambles associated with a distinct operator for announcing to other operators a reservation of at least one transmission opportunity of a given frame in the new radio shared spectrum.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for protecting overhead and common channel transmissions in a NR shared spectrum system. A BS of a first operator may receive information regarding at least one overhead transmission associated with a wireless device of a second operator and may protect one or more overhead signal transmissions of the wireless device based, at least in part, on the received information. A UE may detect information associated with at least one overhead transmission from a wireless device associated with a first operator and may transmit the information regarding the detected overhead transmission to a BS associated with a second operator. A UE served by a BS associated with a first operator may detect a wireless device (e.g., another UE or a BS) associated with a second operator. The UE may report an identification of the wireless device to the BS.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices are described for hierarchical communications and low latency support within a wireless communications system. An eNB and/or a UE may be configured to operate within the wireless communications system which is at least partially defined through a first layer with first layer transmissions having a first subframe type and a second layer with second layer transmissions having a second subframe type. The first subframe type may have a first round trip time (RTT) between transmission and acknowledgment of receipt of the transmission, and the second layer may have a second RTT that is less than the first RTT. Subframes of the first subframe type may be multiplexed with subframes of the second subframe type, such as through time division multiplexing. In some examples symbols of different duration may be multiplexed such that different symbol durations coexist.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for sounding reference signal (SRS) coordination, power control, and synchronization for distributed coordinated multipoint (CoMP) using communications systems operating according to new radio (NR) technologies. For example, a method for wireless communications by a network entity includes determining a first amount of transmission (Tx) power for transmission of signals originating from a first cluster center that is connected to the network entity, determining a second amount of Tx power for transmission of signals originating from at least a second cluster center that is connected to the network entity, and transmitting signals for one or more user equipment (UEs) served by the first cluster center and one or more UEs served by the second cluster center based on the first amount of Tx power and the second amount of Tx power.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to methods and apparatus for power control in coordinated multipoint (CoMP) scenarios that utilize joint transmission (JT). For example, a method for power control at a base station, may include receiving an indication, from at least one of a plurality of paired UEs served by a set of base stations using a common set of time/frequency resources, of a parameter relating to an uplink reference signal used for transmitting an uplink reference signal.
Abstract:
A method and apparatus for wireless communications are described. The method and apparatus may include transmitting at least one frame that includes a first acquisition interval associated with a first operator and one or more first transmission opportunities having a guarantee interval for the first operator, and a second acquisition interval associated with a second operator different from the first operator and one or more second transmission opportunities having a guarantee interval for the second operator, the first acquisition interval and the one or more first transmission opportunities nonoverlapping with the second acquisition interval and the one or more second transmission opportunities.
Abstract:
A method of wireless communication includes receiving a first interference signal and a second interference signal. The method further includes determining whether the second interference signal includes a different version of the first interference signal. Additionally, the method includes combining the first interference signal and the second interference signal to estimate an interference cancellation signal when the second interference signal is the different version of the first interference signal.
