    Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for multistatic radar communications. In one aspect, a wireless communication device may determine a distance and direction of one or more receiving devices. The wireless communication device may transmit, to the one or more receiving devices, timing information indicating a timing relationship between a codeword sequence and one or more pulses. The wireless communication device may transmit a respective codeword of the codeword sequence in the direction of each of the one or more receiving devices. The wireless communication device may further transmit the one or more pulses in a plurality of directions. The wireless communication device may receive feedback from at least one of the one or more receiving devices and determine ranging information about an object based on the feedback and the distance or direction of at least one receiving device.

    Abstract: A method and an apparatus for performing beamforming training using time division duplex (TDD) service periods is provided. An initiator device configures slots assigned to a responder device of an existing TDD schedule for the beamforming training. The initiator device transmits one or more packets to trigger an antenna sweep for one or more sectors of a beamforming antenna of the responder device during a first slot of the multiple slots. The first slot is assigned to the responder device for receiving from the initiator device. The responder device performs the antenna sweep for the one or more sectors of the beamforming antenna of the responder device. The responder device transmits to the initiator device an acknowledgement of the antenna sweep in a second slot of the multiple slots assigned to the responder device. The second slot is assigned to the responder device for transmitting to the initiator device.

    Abstract: A first apparatus may identify a first set of antenna settings and a second set of antenna settings based on beamforming training with a second apparatus, and the first set of antenna settings may correspond to a first path that is different from a second path with the second apparatus corresponding to the second set of antenna settings. The first apparatus may generate a first request frame including an indication to use the first path for at least one first field of a first measurement frame, and may output the first request frame for transmission to the second apparatus. The first apparatus may obtain, from the second apparatus, a first measurement frame via the first set of antenna settings for reception of at least one first field and via the second set of antenna settings for reception of one or more second fields of the first measurement frame.

    Abstract: In some implementations, an initiator device establishes a measurement session with each of a plurality of responder devices based at least in part on their capabilities. The initiator device negotiates, with each of the responder devices, a respective set of one or more sensing parameters based at least in part on the capabilities of the initiator device and the capabilities of the respective responder device, the respective sets of sensing parameters associated with the responder devices being identified by a unique Measurement Setup identifier (ID). The initiator device performs one or more measurement instances with the responder devices based on the respective sets of sensing parameters, each measurement instance identified by a unique Measurement Instance ID and the respective Measurement Setup ID. The initiator device obtains, from each responder device, one or more measurement reports indicating channel state information (CSI) based on the one or more respective measurement instances.
