Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may measure a parameter associated with a secondary cell group. The UE may perform an optimization response action for a dual connectivity mode of a first frequency parameter or a second frequency parameter when the parameter satisfies a threshold, wherein the optimization response action is associated with whether the secondary cell group is operating with the first frequency parameter or the second frequency parameter. Numerous other aspects are described.
Abstract:
A method for wireless communication at a user equipment (UE) and related apparatus are provided. In the method, the UE identify, based on a support of a cell for the UE operating with reduced capability, a cell type of the cell. The cell type is one of a reduced capability (RC) type, a fallback (FB) type, or a neither (N) type, corresponding to various support for the UE operating with the reduced capability. The UE further configures a device mode, where the device mode includes an RC mode or a FB-allowed mode, and manages the connection between the UE and the cell based on the device mode and the cell type.
Abstract:
Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide a method for wireless communications at a user equipment (UE), generally including obtaining a mobile terminated (MT) paging message and performing one or more actions to prioritize processing the MT paging message when one or more reselection criteria for performing a reselection procedure from a first cell to a second cell are met.
Abstract:
Got Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may switch between a first radio access technology (RAT) and a second RAT based at least in part on a condition. The UE may modify, based at least in part on the switching, a second RAT threshold value in a system information block (SIB), to obtain a modified second RAT threshold value, wherein the modified second RAT threshold value is a value to switch from the first RAT to the second RAT. Numerous other aspects are described.
Abstract:
A method of wireless communication performed by a user equipment (UE) includes in the UE, having a first subscriber identity module (SIM) and a second SIM, causing the first SIM to camp on a first cell associated with a first technology in standalone mode; selecting a second cell associated with a second technology in standalone mode; and causing the second SIM to camp on the second cell concurrently with the first SLM camping on the first cell.
Abstract:
Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communication in a multi-connectivity user equipment (UE) are described. The UE may communicate with one or more base stations via a first radio access technology (RAT). The UE may determine whether the UE is in a selected state. The selected state may correspond to one or more modes of operation (e.g., a doze mode, a relaxed doze mode, an active WiFi communication mode, a low battery mode). The UE may disable communication via a second RAT in response to determining that the UE is in the selected state. The UE may continue to communicate via the first RAT.
Abstract:
Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a broadcast multicast service center (BMSC) device may receive, from a user equipment (UE) and via a first base station associated with a first radio access technology (RAT), a request for evolved multicast broadcast multimedia service (eMBMS) content. The BMSC device may transmit, to an access and mobility management function (AMF) device, a redirection request or a handover request, associated with the UE, from the first base station to a second base station associated with a second RAT. The BMSC device may transmit, to the UE and based at least in part on the UE being redirected or handed over to the second base station, the eMBMS content via the second base station. Numerous other aspects are provided.
Abstract:
This disclosure provides systems, methods, apparatuses and computer-readable medium for wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive, from a first base station (BS) associated with a fifth generation New Radio (5G NR) radio access technology (RAT), a command of mobility from the 5G NR RAT to a second RAT. The UE may determine that the command of mobility is for voice fallback. The UE may transmit, to a second BS associated with the second RAT and based at least in part on determining that the command of mobility is for voice fallback, a radio resource control (RRC) connection request communication for attempting to communicatively connect with the second BS for voice fallback.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer program product for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus may receive a temporary mobile group identifier (TMGI) for a single cell point-to-multipoint (SC-PTM) service to which a user equipment (UE) is to be subscribed. The apparatus may configure a connected mode discontinuous reception (CDRX) schedule for the UE based at least in part on an SC-PTM discontinuous reception (DRX) schedule that corresponds to the TMGI. The apparatus may transmit the CDRX schedule to the UE.
Abstract:
A method, an apparatus, and a computer-readable medium for wireless communication are provided. The apparatus may be a UE. The UE receives MBMS in an MBMS session from a base station. The UE determines a data receipt metric associated with data received during the MBMS subframes in the MBMS session. A portion of the MBMS subframes coincides with a measurement gap configured for inter-frequency or inter-RAT measurement. The UE determines whether the data receipt metric is in a first relationship with a first threshold. When the data receipt metric is in the first relationship with the first threshold, the UE refrains from receiving the data during at least the portion of the MBMS subframes that coincides with the measurement gap and performs the inter-frequency or inter-RAT measurement during the measurement gap when the data receipt metric is in the first relationship with the first threshold.
