    Abstract: A connector consisting of a body, a first slot, a second slot, a first terminal, and a second terminal is disclosed. The first slot is provided on the body to receive a first printed circuit board (PCB). The second slot is provided on the body to receive a second PCB. The first slot and the second slot are separate and distinct slots. When the first PCB and the second PCB are received in the first slot and the second slot, respectively, the first terminal electrically connects the first PCB and the second PCB, and the second terminal connects to only the second PCB. Providing the first slot on the connector allows adding expansion cards, control cards, and the like to enhance functionality of computing systems.

    Abstract: A locking mechanism for a computing device controls movement of a removable module within a computer chassis. The locking mechanism comprises a lock pin, a head, and a spring stopper. The lock pin includes an elongated shaft and a head. The spring stopper is disposed on the elongated shaft. The spring is disposed about the elongated shaft such that the spring extends from the spring stopper toward an end of the elongated shaft. As the lock pin moves along a longitudinal axis of the elongated shaft from a first position to a second position, the spring is configured to compress between the spring stopper and a fixed bracket in the computer chassis. The opposite second end extends through a hole in the removable module, thereby preventing the removable module from being removed from the computer chassis.

    Abstract: The present disclosure provides a rail assembly for a computing device in a storage rack. The rail assembly can include a rail body, a rail member, and a locking ear. The rail body can engage with a front vertical portion of the storage rack and a rear vertical portion of the storage rack. The rail member can attach to the rail body, and include a slot extending horizontally along the rail member. This slot can slidably receive a plurality of pins disposed along a side surface of the computing device.     Abstract: A connector assembly for connecting an upper circuit board to a lower circuit board is disclosed. The upper circuit board includes a series of fastener holes for a fastening device allowing attachment to the lower circuit board. The connector assembly has a support bracket with access holes aligned with the holes of the upper circuit board. The support bracket is configurable to be positioned over the upper circuit board. The connector assembly has a moveable cover bracket having a series of access holes. The cover bracket is suspended between the support bracket and the cover bracket. The cover bracket is moveable between an open position aligning the access holes with the access holes of the support bracket, and a closed position. In the closed position, the cover bracket blocks access between the access holes of the support bracket and the holes of the upper circuit board.

    Abstract: Systems and methods include a chassis having a slot configured to receive a module with a flap are disclosed. The flap is configured to be in at least a first position and a second position. The system further includes a push rod configured to translate within the slot. The push rod is configured in a first position to allow the flap to move to the first flap position, and in a second position to move the flap into the second flap position. The system further includes a latch configured to translate within the slot and engage the push rod to travel in a first direction with the push rod, from the first push rod position to the second push rod position. The latch is also configured to withdraw the push rod from the second push rod position in a second direction, opposite from the first direction.
