摘要: Conduits for use in a respiratory therapy apparatus for delivering breathable gas to a patient are disclosed. In one example the conduit comprises a tubular wall and a helical formation provided to an outer surface of the tubular wall, wherein the conduit has a stretch limit of at least 100%. In another example a first portion of the conduit has a first stretch limit and a second portion of the conduit has a second stretch limit which is greater than the first stretch limit. The first portion is formed integrally with the second portion, and the helical formation is provided to the first and second portions. In another example the stretch limit of the conduit varies substantially continuously between a first end of the conduit and an opposite second end of the conduit. In other examples the diameter of the conduit varies along the length of the conduit.

摘要: An apparatus for generating and providing a pressurized breathable gas to a patient's airways includes a respiratory pressure therapy (RPT) device having an engagement port pneumatically and electrically coupled to the RPT device, and an air delivery tube configured to engage the engagement port so as to pass a flow of breathable gas to a patient interface. The air delivery tube includes electric contacts associated with a heating and/or a sensing arrangement. The air delivery tube includes a locking collar rotatably movable between (1) an unlocked position to allow connection/disconnection of the air delivery tube to/from the engagement port, and (2) a locked position to releasably lock the air delivery tube to the engagement port. The air delivery tube is structured and arranged to, when the locking collar is rotated into the locked position, pneumatically connect to the engagement port and define an operational configuration of the apparatus.

摘要: A water reservoir for use with a respiratory pressure therapy (RPT) device includes a water reservoir base configured to hold a volume of water to be used for humidification of pressurized breathable air, the water reservoir base including a conductor plate constructed from a heat conducting material; a water reservoir lid connected to the water reservoir base, wherein the water reservoir lid and the water reservoir base are connected via a pair of joints positioned proximate a first end of the water reservoir; a retainer configured to secure the water reservoir to the water reservoir dock; a latch that secures the water reservoir lid and the water reservoir base, the latch being positioned on the water reservoir proximate a second end that is opposite to the first end; and a water reservoir inlet and a water reservoir outlet positioned on a common side of the water reservoir so as to face a common direction.

摘要: A patient interface assembly includes an elastomeric piece configured to receive a flow of pressurized respiratory gas and sealingly engage the patient’s face. The elastomeric piece forms a plenum and includes a mouth sealing portion, a nasal sealing portion, and an anterior surface with an air inlet opening configured to be coupled to a connector and/or an air delivery tube. The patient interface assembly also includes a stiffening structure that is attached to the anterior surface of the elastomeric piece. The stiffening structure comprises a central aperture that is sized so that the air inlet opening and a portion of the anterior surface surrounding the air inlet opening remain exposed through the central aperture. The stiffening structure is configured so that the entirety of the stiffening structure is inferior to the patient’s nose in use.

A cushion clip is attached to the flexible cushion, forms at least part of a plenum chamber with the flexible cushion, and is more rigid than the flexible cushion. A frame is attached to the cushion clip, is more rigid than the flexible cushion. A superior portion of the frame extends beyond the mouth sealing portion in the superior direction to overlap at least a part of the pair of lateral nares engagement portions of the nares sealing portion. At least a part of the nares sealing portion of the flexible cushion is decoupled from both the cushion clip and the superior portion of the frame that overlaps the nares sealing portion so that the lateral nares engagement portions are movable independently of the frame and the cushion clip.

The thermally conductive portion comprises a combined layered arrangement including a metal plate and a thin film, the thin film comprising a non-metallic material and including a wall thickness of less than about 1 mm. The thin film is adapted to form at least a bottom interior surface of the water reservoir exposed to the volume of water, and the metal plate is adapted to form a bottom exterior surface of the water reservoir.

The patient interface structure also includes headgear attachable to the headgear attachment points on the frame.
