摘要: A tub is configured to contain a supply of water and be inserted into a chamber of a humidifier. The tub includes a tub base configured to contain a supply of water and a tub lid connected to the tub base. The tub lid includes an inlet configured to receive a flow of breathable gas to be humidified and an outlet for the humidified flow of breathable gas. The tub further includes a water level indicator configured to indicate a level of the supply of water in the tub base. The water level indicator includes an inclined portion configured to direct the flow of breathable gas from the inlet away from the outlet. The water level indicator may be visible through the inlet.

摘要: A vent system for use during respiratory therapy with a flow of pressurized gas may provide a continuous vent flow of gas. The vent system may include a vent housing having an outer wall; an inner wall, the inner wall defining an inlet for the flow of gas; and a base positioned between the outer wall and the inner wall, the base having at least one first orifice and at least one second orifice. The vent system may include a membrane, the membrane being shaped and dimensioned such that the membrane does not cover the at least one first orifice to allow the vent flow through the at least one first orifice, and the membrane being shaped and dimensioned such that in a first position the membrane is positioned over the at least one second orifice to allow the vent flow through the at least one second orifice.

摘要: A fluid connector system includes a first end portion with a first opening, a seal portion extending around a periphery of the first opening, and a latching portion. The seal portion is fixedly mounted to the first end portion. The fluid connector system also includes a second end portion that has an inner tube with a second opening, a sealing surface that extends around a periphery of the second opening, and an outer tube. The sealing surface may engage the seal portion to form a face seal to breathing gas travelling along the direction of engagement between the first and second end portions. The outer tube includes a complementary latching portion that may engage with the latching portion and may be depressed into a cavity formed between the inner and outer tubes. The seal portion is axially recessed relative to the latching portion along the direction of engagement.

The characteristics may be, for example, pressure, flow rate, noise, vibration, temperature, electrical or mechanical. These may be measured by one or more sensors, which may be located in the humidifier, RPT device, air circuit or the patient interface. The methods described may have advantages, for example in being able to detect the quantity of water without requiring sensors to be present in a disposable component, and in some cases, without introduction of additional sensors.
