Abstract: In stabilizing soil for foundations for buildings or roads, a non-woven or spunbonded fabric, preferably of continuous filaments and preferably of a polyester or polyolefine, is used as an anti-contaminant layer over cleared soil, below the preparation layers and coating layers if these are used. The spunbonded fabric is pervious to water but not to mud.
