摘要: A nonwoven web material that contains fibers formed by compounding at least one polymer with a tackifier is provided. The nonwoven web material can be used as a wipe or tack cloth and can exhibit a dust holding capacity of at least about 10 grams/m2 and a lint potential of less than about 5 fibers/cm2. In addition to containing a tackifier that is compounded with the polymer(s) used to form the fibers of the web, the nonwoven web material can be textured, post-bonded, apertured, or treated with elemental fluorine gas to further improve its dust holding capacity and minimize lint production. In addition, the nonwoven web material leaves minimal residue after contacting a surface.

摘要: A nonwoven web for use in an absorbent article is described. The nonwoven web has first and second nonwoven layers. The first nonwoven layer has a first plurality of fibers, an additive disposed, at least in part, on a portion of the first plurality of fibers, a first side and an opposing second side, wherein second side has a plurality of discontinuities. The second nonwoven layer has a second plurality of fibers, a first surface and an opposing second surface, and a plurality of tufts extending through at least a portion of the discontinuities in the first nonwoven layer, wherein the second nonwoven layer is attached to the first nonwoven layer such that at least a portion of the second plurality of fibers are in liquid communication with the first nonwoven layer, wherein the first nonwoven layer is hydrophobic and the second nonwoven layer is hydrophilic.

摘要: Methods for manufacturing wipes including melamine entangled into a nonwoven, and associated articles of manufacture. Such a method may include providing a melamine sheet (e.g., contiguous, rather than discrete melamine particles), providing first and second nonwoven sheets, and positioning the melamine sheet between the first and second nonwoven sheets. The sandwich structure is hydro-entangled at high pressure to force the melamine material to become entangled into the nonwoven material, to a degree that a portion of the melamine is actually exposed on the exterior face(s) of the wipe, which are generally provided by the nonwoven sheets. Such a wipe exhibits the drapability of a wipe, with the scrubbing benefits (e.g., very effective cleaning of baseboards, crayon off walls, etc.) of melamine, with greater durability than existing melamine cleaning articles, which tend to quickly crumble during use.

摘要: The invention relates to the use of a microfilament fabric comprising at least one layer A which comprises a fiber component in the form of microfilaments, which are laid down to produce a nonwoven and are bonded by jets of fluid, and have an average titer of less than 0.15 dtex, in the form of melt-spun microfilaments which are laid down to produce a nonwoven, and/or in the form of composite filaments which are split and bonded by fluid-jet bonding at least to some extent to produce elementary filaments having an average titer of less than 0.15 dtex, as a technical packaging material. The invention also relates to a microfilament composite fabric which comprises a microfilament fabric of this type, and also relates to a method for the production thereof.

摘要: A method of bonding a nanofiber web of nanofibers having diameters of between about 50 nanometers and about 2,000 nanometers onto a surface of a woven or nonwoven polymeric media having media fiber diameters of between about 700 nanometers and about 50,000 nanometers utilizes exposing the topmost layer of nanofibers and media fibers to a jet of heated air for a time and at a distance such that substantially only the topmost layer of fibers are bonded. The jet of heated air exits through a nozzle slot having a length of less than about 2 inches in the nanofiber web travel direction. The temperature of the heated air ranges from about 2 to about 10 times the nanofiber melting temperature, and heat air has a nozzle slot velocity of greater than about 500 feet/minute. An adhesive may bond the nanofibers, to a media, which may be bi-component fiber fibers.

摘要: A spunbond method for producing non-woven fabric of natural cellulose with flame-retarding feature comprises following steps. Blend pulp and solvent of N-methylmorpholine N-oxide (NMMO) to form slurry. Evaporate water content from slurry by a Thin Film Evaporator to form dope. Extrude the dope off spin nozzles to form filament strand via spunbond method. Coagulating regenerate, water rinse, hydro-entangled needle-punch and dry the filament strand to form normal natural cellulose nonwoven, which is soaking rolled by flame retardant of N-hydroxymethyl-3-(dimethoxy-phosphate acyl) propyl amide, then orderly bake, alkaline clean, water rinse, dry and wind-up to convert it into modified natural cellulose nonwoven fabrics of long-acting flame retarding feature in coil manner. Because of cross-linking reaction between foregoing flame retardant and natural cellulose nonwoven, the flame-retarding capability thereof meet requirements of testing standards in American ASTM D6413-1999 and ASTM D2863-1995. Moreover, the wastes thereof meet environmental protection requirements.

摘要: A spunbond nonwoven from thermoplastic filaments is made by spinning the filaments from at least one spinner, cooling and stretching the spun filaments, depositing the cooled and stretched filaments on a surface to form a nonwoven fleece web, and moving the fleece web in a travel direction. A liquid medium is introduced into the moving fleece web and it is then mechanically needled. The mechanically needled web is then subject to a hydraulic or hydrodynamic final consolidation by hydroentanglement to a basis weight of more than 80 g/m2 from a top side as well as from a lower side of the nonwoven fleece web by high-pressure water-jet bars above and below the nonwoven fleece web. O of the bars is upstream of the other bar and has a hpi density that is smaller than that of the other bar and that is equal to at most 40.

摘要: A hydroformed expanded spun bonded nonwoven web has a first substantially planar surface on one side thereof and a second surface on an opposite side thereof. The second surface includes a plurality of protuberances in a pattern. The hydroformed expanded spun bonded web has an average loft of at least about 1.3 times greater than an original average loft of an original unexpanded spun bonded nonwoven web from which the hydroformed expanded spun bonded nonwoven web was created, and an air permeability of at least about 1.2 times greater than an original air permeability of the original unexpanded spun bonded nonwoven web.

摘要: A smokeless tobacco product includes smokeless tobacco and structural fibers. The structural fibers forming a network in which the smokeless tobacco is entangled. The structural fibers have a composition different from the smokeless tobacco. The tobacco-entangled fabric can have an overall oven volatiles content of at least 10 weight percent. In some embodiments, the structural fibers form a nonwoven network. In some embodiments, fibrous structures of the smokeless tobacco are entangled with the structural fibers.
