摘要： A peelable seal having one or more layers for sealing containers by heat sealing may include a stiffening structure, a foil portion, and a sealant structure. The stiffening structure of the seal includes an outer periphery or overhanging portion which extends beyond the rim of a neck of a container thereby allowing the peelable seal to be loosened from the container by flicking the overhanging portion of the peelable seal with a portion of the hand and without the need to pinch the seal.

摘要： A dispensing system having a reverse taper dispensing orifice seal. The reverse tapered seal depends from a lid of a flip-top closure providing a sealing engagement with a dispensing spout of the flip-top closure body when in a closed position. As the dispensing spout may have a variety of shapes, the reverse tapered seal is shaped to conform to the irregularities of the contacted surfaces of the dispensing spout. The decreasing thickness of the reverse tapered seal decreases the complexity of the molding process as well as minimizing the weakening or breaking of the seal during removal from the mold cavity.

摘要： A closure having a device for lifting a liner from a container opening. The lifting device being a finger projecting from a hinge connection within the closure. The hinge connection is positioned from a depending skirt of the closure. The hinged finger disengages the liner from a sealing engagement with the container while engaging along substantially the same annulus spaced from the liner edge. A plurality of the hinged fingers may be used for the lifting device. The closure may be used in various retort and aseptic applications, as well as provide for tamper indication.

摘要： A child-resistant, tamper indicating package includes a container having a body portion with a tubular neck and a closure for the neck which is removable and reclosable. The container has a shoulder at the juncture of the body and the neck and the neck has a radially outwardly extending annular rib spaced from the shoulder. The rib has opposed upper and lower converging surfaces such that the included angle at which the lower surface intersects the tubular neck is greater than the included angle at which the upper surface intersects the tubular neck. The closure has a disc-shaped top and a flexible annular skirt the lower edge of which is formed with an inwardly directed flange. The inside diameter of the flange is less than the outside diameter of the rib on the neck so that the flange engages the upper surface of the rib to flex the skirt radially outwardly during downward movement of the closure on the neck until the flange snaps beneath the neck rib to hold the closure in sealing engagement with the neck. The greater lower angular surface prevents a manual removal of the closure without a tool.

摘要： A child-resistant overcap for a pressurized container, such as an aerosol can, having a valve with an axially protruding discharge nozzle which must be depressed to actuate the valve for discharging the contents of the container. The overcap includes a valve guard moveable between an outer position in which a portion of the guard overlies the nozzle for preventing actuation thereof and an inner position in which the nozzle can be depressed. The overcap includes a resilient portion of the guard which biases the guard toward outer position and which must be overcome in order to move the guard to inner position and which returns the guard to outer position when the guard is released.

摘要： A one-piece dispensing closure has an annular skirt on the inner side of which there are threads which co-operate with threads on a container neck for retaining the closure on the container. The closure has a disc-like top in which there is a dispensing opening and a lid for the opening which is an integral part of the closure and is hinged to the closure top at one edge thereof. The lid has an integral plug adapted to close the dispensing opening when the lid is swung into closing position overlying the closure top. The closure top and the underside of the lid have co-operating projections, for example, ears and a post, which function to prevent the lid from swinging to closing position when the closure is turned over to position for dispensing content material and which can be manually interengaged for retaining the lid in closing position when desired.

The top and bottom trays each have a tab extending therefrom. Each of the tabs has at least one aperture through which a button passes and locks the container in a closed position.
