摘要: Methods, systems, and computer program products for dynamically monitoring, processing, and managing alerts are described herein. In an embodiment, the method operates by receiving messages that are either alerts or responses to existing alerts. The messages are parsed to determine if whether they are alerts or responses to alerts. Actions including updating alert states and storing alert data are executed, and then the method sends notifications regarding the alert messages and responses to a collaboration list of registered subscribers that dynamically expands over time based upon alert escalations. The method then determines whether additional messages have been received; and performs actions associated with these additional messages until there are no remaining alerts or alert responses to process. The method stores updated alert and response data in a repository so that the alerts and responses can be monitored and managed.

摘要: Methods, apparatuses, and systems for a closed loop product drying process are disclosed. Heated dry air enters a drying chamber, extracts moisture from a product to be dried, and exits the drying chamber, cooler and wetter. A heat pump air handler dries and warms the air from the drying chamber exhaust, and returns it to the drying chamber, in a closed air loop. The heat pump air handler includes a dehumidifier means in the closed air loop flow path. The dehumidifier means removes entrained moisture from wet air exiting the drying chamber, reheats the air, and returns it to the drying chamber.

摘要: Methods for treating impaired glucose tolerance and early and late stage diabetes in mammals, for prophylactically sparing β-cell function, aiding in preventing β-cell death, preventing the onset of overt diabetes in a mammal with type 2 diabetes, treating the current level of glycemic control dysfunction of a mammal with impaired glucose tolerance or diabetes, comprising orally administering insulin and a delivery agent that facilitates insulin absorption from the gastrointestinal tract at the time of or shortly before mealtime, e.g., within about 10 minutes prior to ingestion of a meal, on a chronic basis. The methods also comprise, in addition to administering a rapid-acting insulin to provide a first insulin peak, administering a slow acting insulin to provide a second insulin peak occurring at a later time but of a longer duration. These methods achieve improved glycemic control without the risks of hypoglycemia, hyperinsulinemia and weight gain and the need for frequent blood glucose monitoring that are normally associated with insulin therapy.

摘要: A child car seat subframe that is easily disassembled into component sections for washing within a residential-sized dishwasher. The car seat subframe can be disassembled by hand, and each individual component is capable of fitting in a residential-sized dishwasher individually and collectively. The component sections are attached by a combination of registration tabs and slots, and held tightly together by fasteners, or attached by a combination of tongue and groove joints. Hanging devices, such as hooks, may be formed on one side of each component section to facilitate hanging on racks in a dishwasher. The car seat subframe back panel and side panels are disassembled into a plurality of segments for easily fitting in a dishwasher.

摘要: This invention provides an altered kosher kappa casein polypeptide having at least one altered amino acid in a defined amino acid stretch. The defined amino acid stretch contributes to an allergic reaction induced by a kosher wild-type casein polypeptide in a human subject. Moreover, the defined amino acid stretch is expressed solely in kosher animals. The invention further provides an expression system for expressing the altered kosher casein polypeptide.

摘要: The invention includes a protective eye device for an oral treatment patient including an eyepiece having bridge portions that form a seal with the nose. The bridge portions are a fulcrum between attachment portions that extend downwardly and outwardly from the bridge portions, and upper portions disposed above the bridge portions. A retaining member is coupled to the attachment portions below the fulcrum such that tension on the retaining member causes the attachment portions to extend toward the face and facilitates the sealing relationship between a lower rim and a middle surface of the face between the eyes and mouth. The tension on the retaining member simultaneously causes the upper portions to extend away from the face, and facilitates the spatial relationship, or a gap, between the forehead and an upper rim. The invention also includes a method for shielding the eyes of a patient.

摘要: Devices having conductive paths are fabricated by electrographically transferring conductive toner to an insulative copy sheet imaging desired conductive paths graphically represented by an electromagnetic signal. A system for making devices having electrically conductive paths corresponding to those graphically represented on a mask has an electrographic machine having electrically conductive toner and a bonder for bonding the electrically conductive toner to a copy sheet. An insulative copy sheet is configured to pass through the electrographic machine bonder and receive the electrically conductive toner only on paths corresponding to those graphically represented on the mask. The electrically conductive toner has a conductivity sufficiently high so as to provide electrically conductive paths along a copy sheet bearing an electrographically transferred image of the mask with the electrically conductive toner bonded to the copy sheet along the electrically conductive paths with the resistance between points along the conductive paths being many times less than that of regions adjacent to the electrically conductive paths.
