摘要: An improved pressure swing adsorption process is disclosed for the recovery of two individual components from a multicomponent gas mixture. The process utilizes a first group of adsorbent beds selective for the secondary component product and a second group of beds selective for tertiary impurities in the mixture. The gas mixture is passed through the first and second beds in series and high purity primary component product is discharged from the second beds. The secondary component product is recovered by desorption from the first beds. Product recovery is improved by recycling depressurization gas from the first beds and by several novel pressure equalization steps. The process can be used to recover high-purity hydrogen and carbon dioxide from a gas mixture containing these components along with minor amounts of methane, carbon monoxide, and nitrogen.

摘要: A process is described for recovery of a more selectively adsorbed key component from a gas mixture containing the key component and one or more less selectively adsorbed secondary components using vacuum swing adsorption. The process minimizes capital costs by reducing or eliminating gas storage vessels and reduces power requirements by operating without a feed compressor or elevated pressure feed, whereby feed is induced at least in part by vacuum conditions achieved by pressure equalization between parallel adsorption beds. Alternatively, at least a minor amount of less selectively adsorbed secondary component roduct can be recovered.

摘要: The invention is a process for selectively adsorbing nitrogen from a gas mixture which comprises contacting the gas mixture with an adsorbent that has a moderate nitrogen capacity and a high selectivity for nitrogen over the other components in the mixture. With respect to air separation, improved adsorbents have low O.sub.2 capacity with N.sub.2 capacity at roughly the same level as current adsorbents such as CaA. O.sub.2 VSA computer process simulations have shown the unexpected result that for materials with the same binary isothermal working selectivity, those with lower isothermal nitrogen working capacity are superior O.sub.2 VSA adsorbents, provided that they have a nitrogen working capacity of at least about 0.3 mmol/g.

摘要: A mirror mounting assembly is attachable to a wing-window portion of a vehicular door. The assembly has at least one mirror mounted on a support. The assembly additionally has a bracket which fits into the wing-window portion of a vehicular door. The bracket has a base member to which the support is secured and a clamping plate, which secures the assembly within the window. The base has a first member and second member hingedly connected. These members may then be opened and closed around the support. By this, the assembly is formed for deployment in a wing-window.

摘要: A vehicle or other type mirror having a convex reflective surface is surrounded by an opaque or non-reflective band. The opaque band extends from the reflective surface to a mounting flange. The mounting flange is adapted to seat on a mounting frame. A gasket secures the mounting frame and the mounting flange together. The mirror is mounted to a vehicle by suitable mounting members. The mirror permits the entire reflective surface to be available for viewing without interference from the gasket or mounting frame.
