    摘要： A method, system, and media are provided for delivery of content from a communication device. A temporal shifting server enables delivery of temporal shifting messages. The temporal shifting server checks conditions associated with a communication network connected to the communication device and determines whether conditions of the communication network support delivery of content stored in a large file. If the communication network can support the large file, the large file is communicated over the communication network to a recipient and a copy may be retained by the temporal shifting server. If the communication network is unable to transmit the large file, the temporal shifting server generates an identifier for the content, transmits the identifier to the communication device, receives a small file that stores a version of the content, and stores the small file.

More specifically, the present invention links a user's movement on a surface of a device to represent a character. A character includes any number, letter, or symbol. For example, an illustrative embodiment of the present invention, a user may swipe a surface on their device such as a cell phone. The present invention recognizes the swipe to represent the number “0,” a swipe in another direction to represent the number “1,” a tap in the middle region to represent the number “2,” etc.

    摘要： A method for managing and tracking a permission status for an application on a mobile device is provided. The privacy policy on a mobile device may require users to grant permission for an application to access certain capabilities (e.g., GPS, personal information manager) on the mobile device. The user may be presented an interface on the mobile device that allows the user to grant an application permission to access the capability. When the user grants an application permission to access a capability a message is sent to a remote privacy manager that tracks the permission status of applications on the mobile device. The user may view the permission status of each application through the Internet. The user may also use the privacy manager to remotely change the permissions on the mobile device.

    摘要： A method and medium are provided for automatically updating user profiles based on authentication failures associated with network-access requests from mobile communications devices. A mobile communications device requests access to a mobile network and the access is rejected due to an authentication failure. Upon communicating a rejection message to the mobile communications device, the authentication server communicates a network-access rejection notification to a user-profile updating server that resets network-generated authentication credentials and provides updated profiles containing reset credentials to a provisioning server. Subsequent access requests from the mobile device are handled through a dedicated profile-provisioning home agent until the device is updated, at which time network access can be granted through a more conventional home agent.
