摘要： A method of treating a preform consisting essentially FeNeB alloy particles to produce a magnet having superior magnetic properties, the steps:(a) removing O.sub.2 from the preform and applying an O.sub.2 resistant coating to the preform surface, or removing O.sub.2 and maintaining an O.sub.2 -free environment,(b) heating the coated preform to elevated temperature and in a non-oxidizing atmosphere, to facilitate subsequent bonding of the particles during their consolidation,(c) providing a consolidation zone containing a grain bed and transferring the heated and coated or uncoated preform to said zone to be embedded in the grain bed,(d) applying pressure to the grain bed sufficient to be transferred via the bed and to the heated preform, thereby to consolidate the preform.

摘要： An apparatus for filtering industrial processing liquids is disclosed which includes a tank, a continuous conveyor screen positioned in and defining a loop in the tank, and a continuous filter media placed on an outer surface of the conveyor. The apparatus includes a power operated tractor chain sludge elevator guidably mounted within the tank extending along and frictionally engaging an outer surface return portion of the filter media for effecting a positive upward lift movement of adjacent portions of the filter media with accumulated sludge thereon. The apparatus may also include an apertured horizontal partition in the tank, the filter media sealed over the aperture defining a filtered liquid reservoir chamber positioned below the partition and an unfiltered liquid chamber above the partition, an opened-top vacuum chamber sealed to the filter media and immersed within the filtered liquid chamber positioned within the aperture so as to form a peripheral channel between the aperture and vacuum chamber. An alternate embodiment of the invention includes an open top vacuum chamber with an unfiltered reservoir, a continuous sealing channel upon and surrounding the vacuum chamber, a filter media within the unfiltered reservoir and extending over and sealingly engaging the channel, the channel having a continuous slot in its top defining inner and outer sealing surfaces engaging the filter media. The channel in either embodiment may be connected to a positive or negative pressure source for discouraging the flow of unfiltered liquid into the vacuum chamber.

摘要： A heat exchange has a main body and a drive shaft in the main body. There is a motor to drive the drive shaft. A rotor is mounted on the drive shaft and has a central hub. Pairs of spaced blades extend radially from the hub to an outer chamber, attached to the outer ends of the blades. There are openings in the hub to communicate a blade with the hub interior and openings in the outer chamber communicating the outer chamber with a blade. There are closure plates at each end of the main body having pairs of inlet/outlet openings. A valve plate between the rotor and each end plate defines gas pathways between on opening and a first end plate and another opening in the second end plate. There are two gas pathways through the apparatus. In the first pathway gas enters an inlet in the first end plate, passes through a valve plate, over the blades of the rotor, through a second valve plate to an outlet of the second end plate. In the other pathway gas enters an inlet in the second end plate, passes through the second valve plate, into the blades, into the chamber, downwardly through the second set of blades, through a second valve plate and out through an outlet in the end plate.

摘要： An apparatus for filtering industrial process liquids is disclosed herein. The apparatus includes a tank, a continuous conveyor screen mounted within the tank, a partition spanning the tank walls and having an elongated aperture therethrough, and media sealing means upon and surrounding the aperture. One side of the conveyor screen overlies the tank and is guidably retained for sealing engagment with the sealing means, and the other side of the conveyor screen operatively engages a continuous sheet of filter media. The conveyor screen and filter media span the aperture providing upon the underside of the partition an enclosed filtered liquid reservoir and upon its other side an open unfiltered reservoir. An elongated open-top vacuum chamber is supported within the filtered liquid reservoir with its peripheral edge in sealing registry with the conveyor screen and having a first outlet for delivering filtered liquid to a process area. The vacuum chamber also includes a second outlet communicating with the filtered liquid reservoir having a normally closed vacuum release valve. When the media becomes blocked with debris, the vacuum release valve opens and the conveyor screen is advanced to replace the media. The filtered liquid reservoir is provided with an auxiliary outlet for continuously removing contaminated liquid due to seal leakage, and to effect an outward flow from the vacuum chamber for preventing liquid seepage into the vacuum chamber during media replacement.

摘要： In an industrial filter apparatus having a tank with an inlet receiving contaminated effluent from an industrial washing device and a discharge outlet connected to the washing device for recirculating washing fluids, a continuous filter spanning the tank interposed between the inlet and outlet, a continuous drive connected to the filter, a motor connected to the drive and a pump delivering filtered fluids from the outlet to the washing device, an automatic filter media indexer comprises a sensing arm rotatably journaled upon the tank having a contactor engagable with the filter on its downstream side connected by a link and a pull rod to a normally open switch connected to a power source and to the motor. A switch actuator on the pull rod is in registry with the switch, and an adjustable spring normally biases the pull rod. The differential between the liquid levels upon opposite sides of the filter increasing to a predetermined level as it becomes clogged, effecting a proportional deflection of the filter and causing movement of the sensing arm to close the switch.
