Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a fiber suitable for packaging. The fiber of the present disclosure comprises a photocatalyst bonded to it by means of a first functional group generated by a surface modifying agent and optionally, a second functional group generated by a silicon containing linker. The chemical bonding between the fiber and the photocatalyst imparts durability and wash ability to the fiber. A packaging material prepared using the fiber of the present disclosure can be used for the storage of plant produce.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a fiber suitable for packaging. The fiber comprises a photocatalyst and optionally, a silicon containing linker. The photocatalyst is bonded to the fiber by means of a first functional group pre-present on the fiber and optionally, a second functional group generated by a silicon containing linker. The chemical bonding between the fiber and the photocatalyst imparts durability and wash ability to the fiber. A packaging material prepared using the fiber of the present disclosure can be used for the storage of plant produce.
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a process for removing metal contaminants from a contaminated fluid stream comprising the step of contacting said fluid stream with macroporous alpha alumina to obtain a fluid stream containing less than 50 ppm of metal. The fluid stream can be selected from the group consisting of a stream of mineral acid(s) and a stream of alkylene(s); and the metal contaminant can be at least one of elemental metals and metal oxides. The process further comprises a step of obtaining spent macroporous alpha alumina and regenerating active macroporous alpha alumina therefrom by washing said spent macroporous alpha alumina with at least one purified stream selected from the group consisting of a stream of mineral acid(s) and a stream of alkylene(s).
Abstract:
The present disclosure provides a process for separating oxygenates present in an aromatic hydrocarbon stream to obtain an oxygenates-free aromatic hydrocarbon stream. The process involves selectively removing oxygenates from the aromatic hydrocarbon stream by passing said stream through at least one zeolite based adsorbing material.
Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a sulphur containing additive for bitumen paving mixtures. The sulphur containing additive comprises sulphur, a mixture of metal oxides, and optionally 5 at least one metal sulphate. The mixture of metal oxides includes calcium oxide, silicon dioxide, aluminum oxide and ferric oxide.

Abstract:
An adsorbent composition for reducing impurities of heat transfer fluids is provided and a process for the preparation of the same. The adsorbent composition comprises a layered double hydroxide in an amount in the range of 15 to 70 wt % of the total mass of the composition; alumina in an amount in the range of 30 to 85 wt % of the total mass of the composition; and optionally activated bauxite in an amount in the range of 15 to 50 wt % of the total mass of the composition. The adsorbent composition is economical and eco-friendly, having feed processing capacity in the range of 58 to 600 gm/gm.

Abstract:
The present disclosure relates to a sulphur additive to suppress hydrogen sulphide emissions from Sulphur Extended Asphalt. The sulphur additive of the present disclosure comprises 5 sulphur in an amount ranging from 80 to 98 wt % and at least one aluminosilicate in an amount ranging from 2 to 20 wt %. The sulphur additive of the present disclosure suppresses the H2S emission up to acceptable safe limit during the preparation and application of the sulphur extended asphalt at elevated temperature.
