摘要: A system for delivering a pressurized flow of breathable gas to a patient includes a patient interface and a flow generator mounted on the patient interface. The patient interface is configured to contact the patient's head and includes a frame and a cushion supported by the frame and configured to sealingly connect the patient interface to the patient's face and form a chamber between the frame and the patient's face. An inlet port in the frame is configured to receive the pressurized flow of breathable gas. The flow generator is configured to generate the pressurized flow and is capable of creating a pressure of about 2-40 cm H2O in the chamber. In addition, a pressure sensor assembly spans from an outlet port of the flow generator to the inlet port of the patient interface.

摘要: A patient interface is configured to deliver a flow of pressurized breathable gas to a patient's airways. The patient interface includes a central portion with an opening configured to deliver the pressurized breathable gas to the patient's nares. A first stabilizing portion extends from the central portion and is structured to engage an outer side of a respective one of the patient's nostrils. A second stabilizing portion is opposite the first stabilizing portion and extends from the central portion. In addition, the second stabilizing surface is structured to engage an outer side of a respective one of the patient's nostrils. The central portion, the first stabilizing portion and the second stabilizing portion cooperate to form a U-shape configured to cradle the patient's nose so that the tip of the patient's nose remains exposed when the patient interface is mounted on the patient's face.

摘要: Systems and/or methods for assessing the sleep quality of a patient in a sleep session are provided. Data is collected from the patient and/or physician including, for example, sleep session data in the form of one or more physiological parameters of the patient indicative of the patient's sleep quality during the sleep session, a subjective evaluation of sleep quality, etc.; patient profile data; etc. A sleep quality index algorithm, which optionally may be an adaptive algorithm, is applied, taking into account some or all of the collected data. Sleep quality data may be presented to at least the patient, and it may be displayed in any suitable format (e.g., a format useful for the patient to be appraised on the progress of the treatment, a format useful for a sleep clinician to monitor progress and/or assess the effectiveness of differing treatment regimens, etc).

摘要: A vent arrangement is provided to a mask or associated conduit to discharge exhaled gas from the mask to atmosphere. The vent arrangement is structured to diffuse the exhaust vent flow to produce less air jetting, thereby increasing the comfort of the patient and their bed partner. For example, the vent arrangement may include one or more grill components and/or media constructed and arranged to diffuse vent flow.

摘要: A patient interface assembly includes a flexible cushion configured to sealingly engage the patient's nares and a frame with a pair of flexible extending members that extend laterally from opposite sides of the frame. The frame and the flexible cushion together form a chamber. The patient interface assembly also includes a positioning and stabilising structure configured to maintain the flexible cushion in engagement with the patient's nares. The positioning and stabilizing structure has a pair of headgear straps. Each headgear strap is connected to a respective one of the flexible extending members. The flexible extending members do not form an airflow path for the breathable gas. The headgear straps have a multi-layered structure, at least one layer being made of fabric and at least one layer being made of plastic. In addition, the at least one plastic layer is a rigidizer that adds rigidity to the respective headgear strap.

摘要: A gas delivery component of a CPAP system is configured to magnetically connect to a second gas delivery component of the CPAP system to deliver a pressurized flow of breathable gas to a patient's airways. The gas delivery component includes a lumen forming a first part of a gas flow path for the breathable gas. A connection end of the gas delivery component is configured to engage the second gas delivery component. In addition, a magnetic connection assembly is located at the connection end and includes a magnet positioned at least partially within the lumen. The magnetic connection assembly is configured to magnetically secure the gas delivery component to the second gas delivery component.
