    摘要: A blood flow sensing system is disclosed, including a sensor coupled to an antenna, such that the sensor measures a flow of blood within a blood vessel when stimulated with a short range radio frequency energy field detectable by the antenna. Such a system additionally can include a transmitter and receiver unit (i.e., a transmitter/receiver), which can transmit the short range radio frequency energy field to the antenna of the sensor. The transmitter and receiver unit can also receive data transmitted from the sensor via the antenna. Such a system additionally includes a stent integrated with sensor, wherein the stent comprises a small diameter cylinder that props open a blood vessel and wherein the stent is moveable into the blood vessel to form a rigid support for holding the blood vessel open in order to measure the flow of blood within the blood vessel.

    摘要: A wireless surface wave flow sensor can be utilized for monitoring the flow of fluid. Such a surface wave flow sensor can be configured to include one or more interdigital transducers and a self-heating heater formed upon a piezoelectric substrate. The interdigital transducer(s) can be selected to convert electrical signals to surface waves thereof. An antenna can also be connected to the surface wave device, wherein the antenna can receive one or more signals, which excites the acoustic device to produce a frequency output associated with the flow of the fluid for analysis thereof.

    摘要: Sensor systems and methods are disclosed herein. A relative humidity sensor can be associated with one or more heating elements, wherein a perimeter of the relative humidity sensor is surrounded with a relatively conductive material. A thin substrate material can surround and laminate the heating element, such that the heating element is porous to permit humid air to pass through the heating element and wherein the at the heating element is assembled slightly offset from a surface of the relative humidity sensor. Air that is saturated with water vapor can then pass through and be heated by the heating element in order to evaporate water droplets associated with the water vapor to thereby reduce relative humidity to a measurable level.

    摘要: Sensor systems and methods are disclosed herein. A relative humidity sensor is generally associated one or more porous heating elements. A porous resistive material surrounds the relative humidity sensor. Additionally, one or more flat heating elements can be bonded to a base of the relative humidity sensor to conduct heat and insure uniform heating about the relative humidity sensor. The porous heating elements can be configured to permit humid air to pass through the porous heating elements. Also, the porous heating element(s) can be assembled slightly offset from a surface of the relative humidity sensor so that air that is saturated with water vapor passes through and is heated by the porous heating element in order to evaporate water droplets associated with the water vapor and thereby reduce relative humidity to a measurable level. The porous resistive material can be configured from a material such as, for example, tantalum or nichrome. The porous resistive material can also be configured in a sheet arranged in a woven pattern.

    摘要: A disposable fluid flow sensor is disclosed herein, which generally includes a flow channel assembly comprising a flow channel tube in association with a disposable flow channel portion. A sensor die is located approximate to a thin interface or membrane formed from the disposable flow channel portion, such that the sensor die measures a flow of fluid flowing through the flow channel tube and the disposable flow channel portion of the flow channel assembly. Additionally, a substrate can be provided upon which the sensor die is formed and located. A seal can also be provided for sealing the disposable flow channel portion to the flow channel tube. Such a flow sensor can be implemented in the context of a “non-isolated” sensor die approach in which the sensor die, substrate and flow tube are assembled together into a complete disposable assembly, in which a thin interface does not cover the sensor die. The flow sensor can also be implemented in the context of an “isolated” sensor die approach in which a thin membrane material or thin interface prevents the fluid from touching the surface of the sensor die. In such an “isolated” configuration, the sensor die is not actually part of the disposable flow tube assembly. The only disposable portion in this approach is the flow tube itself.
