摘要： This invention relates to the manufacture of fabric intended to be made into washable garments, and more specifically to the placement of an insecticide such as permethrin in the fabric by impregnation with polymeric binders and a cross-linking agent; or by surface coating with a polymeric binder and a thickening agent to improve the efficacy as an insect repellent and retention of the permethrin in the fabric as an effective insecticide through successive washings of the garments.

摘要： A plurality of garments are impregnated with an effective amount of permethrin to provide protection against insects by use of a combination of an industrial washing machine and holding tank containing permethrin solution of predetermined strength. The permethrin solution is pumped through the washing machine during washing and returned to the holding tank after the wash cycle is completed. The process is repeated as often as needed. Extracted liquid resulting from a spin cycle to dry the garments after washing may also be circulated to the holding tank and ultimately recirculated.
