Abstract:
A method for operating a direct wiper drive having a motor, in particular for a windshield wiper, is described. The method comprises making available a limiting load torque for normal operation, determining at least a first characteristic variable for the plausibility of an exceptional case, determining at least a second characteristic variable for the reliability of an exceptional case, and deactivating the limiting load torque as a function of the first characteristic variable and the second characteristic variable.
Abstract:
The invention relates to a control device (160) for a drive unit (120) of a vehicle windshield wiper system (100) comprising at least one wiper arm (140). The control device (160) is designed to determine a load quantity (L) of the drive unit (120) and to set the wiping frequency (WH) of the wiper arm (140) on the basis of the ratio of the load quantity (L) to at least one load threshold value (LS). Furthermore, the control device (160) is designed to set the wiping frequency (WH) depending on the current speed (v) of the vehicle.
Abstract:
A windshield wiper drive for a motor vehicle, with a reverse-operating driving motor for driving a wiper shaft which is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to a wiper arm, and with a fastening plate for fastening the windshield wiper drive to a vehicle body or to a component mounted on the body, wherein a first end stop surface for limiting the rotational movement of the wiper shaft in a first direction of rotation is provided on the fastening plate and/or on a component fixed to the fastening plate.
Abstract:
A drive unit, especially an actuator unit in a vehicle, comprises an electric drive motor the motor shaft of which is rotatably mounted in bearings. A clamping ring is arranged in a housing and axially supports a bearing of the motor shaft.
Abstract:
Described is a wiper system for motor vehicle windows, more particularly motor vehicle windscreens, comprising at least one wiper (1, 2), at least one motor (5, 6) that drives the at least one wiper (1, 2), and a switching device (10) for directly controlling the motor (5, 6), wherein the switching device (10) has one or two switching elements (11, 15, 18, 19, 20) by means of which at least four switching states can be selected, and wherein selecting one of the switching states causes an operating mode of the at least one wiper (1, 2) to change.

Abstract:
A system for determining if a tire of a vehicle is improperly inflated. The system includes a radar, a wheel speed sensor, and a controller. The radar is configured to emit a signal to detect a reflection of the signal off of an object positioned perpendicular to the vehicle, and to output an indication of a speed of the vehicle. The wheel speed sensor is configured to sense a speed of a wheel of the vehicle. The controller is configured to receive the indication of the speed of the vehicle from the radar, to calculate a speed of the vehicle based on the sensed speed of the wheel, and to determine a tire of the wheel is improperly inflated when the speed of the vehicle calculated using the wheel speed sensor varies by more than a predetermined amount from the speed of the vehicle determined using the radar signal.
