摘要: A locking differential of the type including a clutch pack (31,33) actuated by a cam arrangement (43,45) to lock the side gears (19,21) relative to the gear case (11). Lock-up is initiated by retarding rotation of one of the cam members (45), by means of a flyweight mechanism (51). Disposed adjacent the flyweight mechanism is a latch mechanism (63) which comprises an integral, generally U-shaped member including a bottom portion (65) and a pair of upright leg portions (71,73). The bottom portion defines a pair of integral latch member (67,69), each of which is disposed to engage one of the flyweights (53,55) when the latch mechanism is in its operative position. Each of the upright leg portions includes a pair of individual leg portions (75) disposed on opposite sides of the pinion shaft (15), extending past the axis of rotation (A), and engaging a weight (83) disposed in a window (89) on the opposite side of the gear case (11) from the flyweight mechanism.

摘要: A differential gear mechanism is provided of the type including a gear case (11) at least one input pinion gear (19) and a pair of output side gears (23) and (25). A clutch pack (35) is disposed between one of the side gears and the gear case and is operable, when engaged, to retard relative rotation between the gear case and the side gear. Disposed adjacent the clutch pack is a cam means (23,43,45,47) which is operable to ramp-up and engage the clutch pack. An engagement shaft (53) is in splined engagement (49,55) with the cam member and has an opposite end extending through the gear case and in splined engagement (59,63) with a retarding gear member (61). An actuator (69) includes an actuation member (71) which moves from a first position (FIG. 1) to an actuated position in response to an external signal (73) to bias the retarding gear into engagment with the gear case, thus retarding rotation of the engagement shaft relative to the gear case, and retarding rotation of the cam means relative to the gear case, to cause engagement of the clutch pack.

摘要: A directional valve assembly for use in hydraulic power systems such as are used on fork lift trucks has a plurality of sliding spool directional valves and a balanced relief valve mounted in the body formed of a plurality of sections bolted and gasketed together. The main lift section has a load-holding check valve of special design together with means on the spool for opening the check valve to lower the load. Means are provided in the assembly for preventing interflow from one valve spool to another when two or more spools are simultaneously shifted. This includes a system of restrictors, check valves and passages causing the main relief valve to act as a pressure compensator responsive to the pressure requirement of the smallest load.
