    摘要： A product-on-demand delivery system applies an agricultural product, such as seed, to a field. The system includes a frame that mounts a main hopper, a splitter fitting, a primary product hose, a secondary product hose, a primary application unit and a secondary application unit. The main hopper has an air nozzle wherein an air stream through the air nozzle entrains product within the air stream and delivers the air/product to the primary outlet hose. The splitter fitting has a splitter inlet flow-connected to the primary product hose and two splitter outlets flow-connected to the application units. The secondary application unit is coupled to the primary product supply hose by the secondary product hose connected at an outlet branch. The outlet branch is connected at an angle such that a product flow velocity vector in the primary product supply hose at the outlet branch is at an obtuse angle to a flow velocity vector of product flowing through the outlet branch. The outlet branch is oriented for a vertical upward flow of air and product.

    摘要： A electrodeless lamp including a fluorescent discharge vessel, a tip, an amalgam, a lamp core, and a heater. The vessel contains a gas having a partial vapor pressure and a fluorescent material. The tip has an inner end engaging the vessel, and an opening in communication with the gas. The amalgam is positioned within the opening, in heat transfer relation with the tip. When the temperature of the amalgam decreases, mercury vapor in the gas condensates onto the amalgam, causing a decrease in the partial vapor pressure of the gas. The opposite occurs when the amalgam temperature increases. The lamp core generates a magnetic flux, causing an electrical discharge in the gas. The heater includes a positive temperature coefficient connected to a winding of the lamp core. The heater is in heat transfer relation with the tip and heats the tip when the electrodeless lamp is in a dimming mode.

    摘要： A switch is provided which is dynamically configurable via a network port thereon. One switch is employed to establish point-to-point electrical connections between devices under test (DUTs) and host devices coupled to upstream ports and downstream ports on the switch respectively. Two switches coupled to a network are employed to facilitate a distributed test lab. DUTs are coupled to upstream ports on a first switch which, based on communication with a test controller over the network, establishes a logical connection between the upstream port coupled to a particular DUT and the network. Host devices are coupled to downstream ports on a second switch which, based on communication with the test controller over the network, establishes a logical connection between the downstream port coupled to a particular host device and the network. A logical connection is also established across the network between the particular DUT and host device.

    摘要： There is herein described a single handle pressure balancing spool valve for mixing user-adjustable hot and cold water flow to a fixture such as a shower or tub and to adjust the rate of mixed water flow. A rotatable disc with hot and cold intake openings and an outlet opening are provided which control the degree of covering on the inlet ports of the valve. Pressure balancing of inlet pressure is provided within the valve by means of a piston-cylinder assembly to compensate for fluctuations in water inlet pressure to avoid scalding of the user.

    摘要： A photo-therapeutic, electrodeless lamp comprises a closed-loop envelope containing an arc generating and sustaining medium. A phosphor coating on the interior of the envelope generates visible radiation in response to excitation from 254 nm radiation. The visible radiation has an energy output in the region of 500-800 nm of ≧12,000 μW/cm2.A reflector formed on a portion of the envelope leaves a window for the emission of the visible radiation and concentrates the power requirements. Means are formed with the lamp for supplying RF excitation to generate the 254 nm radiation. The lamp has an effective area that allows easy operator manipulation and good patient access.
