Abstract:
This retractable central conveyor (1) being used in a folder-gluer converting plate-like workpieces such as paper or cardboard for producing packagings. Such a folder-gluer comprises two frames between which are arranged two lateral conveyors (100, 110), the conveying means of which being belts (101, 111). The conveyor of the present invention comprises a structure consisting of four associated components (4, 5, 8, 11) which are transversely movable between the frames of the folder-gluer with respect to the travelling direction of said plate-like workpieces. Among these components of this structure, an upper longitudinal bar (4) can easily be manually lowered, in a vertical slanted movement, from a working position to a retracted position, and inversely raised by independent damping means (15). The central conveyor (1) can be retracted between the two lateral conveyors (100, 110) thus enabling the folder-gluer to be used in a new configuration where uncoupling of the transmission means necessary for the independent drive of the belt (30) is not required and which belt (30) is rotatable even in the retracted position. This conveyor allows to arrange the two lateral conveyors (100, 110) side by side so that the useable conveying width of the folder-gluer is reduced to a minimum value.
Abstract:
A device for aligning plate-like workpieces traveling in a machine direction in a machine processing them, more particularly in a folder-gluer, comprising an upper aligner and a lower aligner. The lower aligner is equipped, on the one hand with a guiding member mounted on a lower guide, and on the other hand with a lower conveyor having at least one useful portion which is fixedly attached to an upper guide movable in the horizontal plane with respect to the lower guide. The lower and upper guides form a bearing element unit, which is weakened by an opening extending between the guides.
Abstract:
A folding device for blanks has the shape of a removable module with an integrated securing device for securing the module in the frame of a machine. The module has two series of pulleys, which have a common drive drum and provide a path for a first belt having an upper twisted folding path and a second belt having a lower planar part. The drum is provided with a connecting element to connect the drum directly to a shaft normally provided to drive a gluing wheel which the module replaces.
Abstract:
Folding device for folding paper, cardboard, plastic, corrugated cardboard or similar material blanks running in a folding-gluing machine: a tool (30) installed above the passage plane for the blanks for folding a front flap (21′) of a blank (20′), in which the folding tool (30) is movable alternately between an initial position where the folding tool (30) is able to go through the passage plane for the blanks without interacting with said blanks and a final position where the folding tool (30) is able to press against a lower face (20b′) of the blank (20′) to fold the front flap (21′) into the space located above the passage plane for the blanks.

Abstract:
Device for printing Braille characters on cardboard blanks travelling in a folder-gluer along a substantially planar path, the device comprising rotary embossing tools carried by two respective parallel shafts rotatably mounted above and below of the plane of said path and operable for printing Braille characters on their blanks during their run through the folder-gluer. The tools are supported on shafts and the tools are adjustable axially and angularly with respect to each other.
Abstract:
A supply device for a machine working cardboard sheets. At least one conveying unit for the conveyance one by one of the sheets. A hold-down stop for preventing conveyance of a pile of the sheets above the conveying unit while permitting conveyance of the bottom sheet. A plurality of rising units at the conveying unit, the raising units being alternatively moveable by pivoting between an upraised position above the upper level of the conveying unit, and a lowered position at the highest aligned with that upper level. Each rising unit is connected to a programmable control unit in order to provide a single command respectively for each one of the rising units. An adjustable height wear surface shoe on each rising unit.
