摘要: Methods and apparatuses to assist a user in the performance of a plurality of tasks are provided. The method may comprise storing at least one care plan in a voice assistant, the care plan defining a plurality of tasks to be performed, capturing speech input from the user, determining, from the speech input, a selected interaction with a care plan, and in response to the selected interaction, providing a speech dialog with the user reflective of the care plan. Alternatively, the method may comprise capturing speech input from a user, determining from the speech input, a first weight associated with a resident, associating the first weight with a care plan in turn associated with the resident, comparing the first weight to a second weight associated with the resident and the care plan, and providing a speech dialog regarding reweighting the resident based on the comparison.

摘要: A speech-directed system for doing tasks utilizing human speech includes a headset including a microphone for capturing user speech from a user and a speaker for playing audio to a user. A speech recognition component is resident on the headset and operable for converting the user speech to data in a data format. A WPAN radio component is resident on the headset and is configured for converting the user speech data from the data format into a protocol format. A host device is configured with a WPAN radio component for transceiving user speech data with the headset in the protocol format. A long range wireless network component that is resident on the host device couples with at least one remote device through a long range wireless network. The host device is operable for transceiving the user speech data with the remote device.

摘要: A device for imparting sonic energy to a continuous flow of an emulsified liquid to de-emulsify the liquid and thereby provide for separation and extraction of selected liquid components. The device utilizes a flat plate oriented in the direction of flow within the liquid so as to impart pressure fronts into the liquid to produce the separation.

摘要: In a method and apparatus for detecting and locating a quench zone in a superconducting coil, a sensor is positioned adjacent to and in heat transfer communication with the entire length of the superconducting coil. When a portion of the superconducting coil becomes normal, the adjacent portion of the sensor becomes resistive. A series of electrical pulses sent along the sensor are reflected back by the discontinuity in impedance which occurs at such a normal zone. The reflected pulses and echo pulses produced by various terminations on the sensor are detected by an associated receiver and processor which calculates the location of the resistive zone along the sensor and the corresponding quench zone along the superconducting coil using information derived from the pulses. A second embodiment provides two sensors which are adjacent to and in heat transfer communication with the coil which are pulsed from opposite ends.

摘要: A modular superconducting magnetic energy storage (SMES) inductor includes a plurality of vertically adjacent winding modules each comprising a number of serially connected concentric solenoid coils. Pairs of adjacent winding modules are connected in series to form paired winding modules each of which occupies a compartment in a sectioned dewar. Only a single shorting switch is provided for each winding module for use during an emergency dump of cryogenic fluid from the dewar. Adjacent paired winding modules can be connected in series by a single connector penetrating sectional plates between dewar compartments. Arrangements of bypass switches provide the capability of taking either a single winding module or a pair of winding modules out of service while the remaining winding modules and pairs of winding modules remain in service. Any number of pairs of winding modules can be connected in one or more series circuits each serviced by its own power conversion system to achieve a desired energy storage capability.

摘要: A method for sending messages in a voice-enabled system and a voice-enabled system to communicate a message are provided. The method comprises generating a message with a message generating device, analyzing the message to determine a voice-enabled device to send the message, and determining whether the voice-enabled device is available to receive the message. The method further comprises sending the message to the voice-enabled device in response to determining that the voice-enabled device is available to receive the message and, in response to determining that the voice-enabled device is not available, escalating the message based on an escalation protocol.
