摘要： A yarn delivery device is provided with a motor-driven yarn delivery wheel, wherein the rotated position of the yarn delivery wheels is detected with high precision by means of an angle encoder. The angle encoder has at least a resolution s which is greater than the circumference of the yarn delivery wheel, measured in millimeters. The resolution s is preferably greater than five times (preferably 5.24 times) the value of the diameter of a winding of the yarn delivery wheel. The yarn delivery wheel is preferably looped by several (three to twenty) windings.

摘要： For determining the movement of a thread supply boundary on the storage surface of a thread storage and feed device, different scanning properties of at least two circumferentially offset circumferential sections of the storage surface are scanned simultaneously and converted into storage surface signals which are nonidentical among themselves and which are discriminated from thread signals which are identical among themselves. The thread signals are generated by sensors which scan a scanning zone on the storage surface and formed on the basis of a scanning property of the thread windings when the thread supply is present in the scanning zone. The thread storage and feed device is provided with first and second circumferential sections on the storage surface differing from one another with respect to their scanning properties, and a plurality of sensors. The sensors are spaced approximately in the circumferential direction of the storage body in such a way that at least a first circumferential section of the storage surface can be scanned by one sensor and, simultaneously, a second circumferential section of the storage surface can be scanned by at least one additional sensor.

摘要： The yarn brake (1) according to the invention comprises individually adjustable biasing means (21, 22) which cooperate with plates (8, 9). By adjusting both biasing means (21, 22), desired positions of the brake plates (8, 9) may be deliberately set in a manner other than in conventional yarn brakes. For example, a desired centered position may be preserved for any yarn tension. It is also feasible to shift the desired centered position on purpose by deliberately adjusting both biasing means. The setting of the yarn tension is thus independent from the setting of the centered position.

In the trial mode, the yarn feeders operate in an individually tension-controlled manner on the basis of a specified yarn tension value. The yarn feed quantities or yarn speeds that result from this at the various yarn feeders are reported to a central unit. From the reported yarn speeds, the central unit calculates a group average and sends this to the yarn feeders as a specified value for subsequent operation. As a result, the individual yarn feeders can subsequently operate in the purely positive mode. Moreover, the central unit can receive [both] signals that characterize both the machine speed (rpm) and pattern signals, on the basis of which the yarn feeders of the particular group that is to respond at that time are switched on and off or speeded up or slowed down.
