摘要: A broadcast and reception system provides a segmented broadcast signal for providing regional traffic information and a receiver adapted to receive selected segments of that broadcast. The segmented broadcast signal includes a number of segments which each include a tone sequence, a digital regional code, a digital duration code, and an audio segment. The receiver monitors selected regional traffic segments and converts the selected audio segment to a form compatible with a standard automotive radio. Thus, a user can selectively monitor regional traffic information without having to listen to reports from regions of no interest to him. Alternatively, the selected traffic information can automatically override normal radio listening.

摘要: There is described a photomechanical method for forming pressure sensitive transfer reproductions of color images, either single color or multicolor, upon a substrate involving the forming of a base coat protective layer on a substrate, applying one color ink layer on the base layer and a white ink overlayer on the one color ink layer. The surface of the white ink overlayer is powdered and a layer of photoresist composition is applied. The photoresist covered layered substrate is exposed to a light source through an image carrying photographic negative film to harden the photoresist at the imaged areas thereby forming a mask. Nonhardened photoresist composition areas along with their underlaying layers are removed using stepwise solvent development steps. The steps are repeated where different ink colors are to be applied to form a multicolored image. The final single color image or the final multicolor image, as the case may be, being thoroughly dried, finally coated with a pressure sensitive adhesive to form the image transfer sheet. Drying between each step of formation is essential.

摘要: A golf putter comprised of a shaft having an axis, a hosel attached to the shaft and a head attached to the hosel. The head of the putter has a face, a top and a sole. The face of the putter is comprised of multiple facets with a degree of static loft measured from the plane of the facet to the axis of the shaft. It is preferable that there are at least four facets on the face of the putter. The first facet is proximate to the sole of the face and has a first static loft angle. The second facet is above and abuts the first facet and has a second static loft angle which is greater than the first static loft angle. The third facet abutting and above the second facet has a third static loft angle which is greater than the second static loft angle. The fourth facet abuts and is above the third facet and has a fourth static loft angle which is greater than the third static loft angle. It is preferable that the static loft angles of said at least four facets differ by only 1 degree between abutting facets.

摘要: A follicular unit extraction device comprises a handpiece for holding a follicle punch at its distal end which extends from the handpiece and terminates distally in a cutting edge. The punch is releasably coupled to a motor-driven drive shaft within the handpiece for rotation therewith. A portion of the driveshaft is tubular, and houses a piston that can move towards and away from the punch. An ejector pin is also supported within the tubular portion of the driveshaft distally of the ejector piston and is positioned to move towards the cutting edge of the punch when pushed by the piston. The handpiece and driveshaft have respective fluid inlet ports. The clearance between the piston and driveshaft interior, and the clearance between the ejector pin and punch interior, define a fluid path for conducting fluid entering the handpiece and drive shaft via inlet ports so that the fluid exits the punch at its cutting edge. The clearances limit the quantity of fluid exiting the punch to the small amount needed to protect the follicle to be extracted. Means are provided for selectively increasing the flow rate of the fluid entering the handpiece beyond the limit imposed by said clearances to thereby increase the fluid pressure within the driveshaft, moving the piston distally and, consequently, moving the pin towards the cutting edge of the punch to eject impacted graft or debris. Bias means returns the piston proximally when the flow rate is reduced below the level required to overcome the bias means.

摘要: An axial resistance sheathed heater is presented. The axial resistance sheathed heater includes a retaining sheath having a first end and a second end and a resistance wire completely disposed within the retaining sheath. The heater further includes a first conductor rod partially disposed within the retaining sheath and extending beyond the first end of the retaining sheath, the first conductor rod in direct electrical communication and direct mechanical communication with the resistance wire; and a second conductor rod partially disposed within said retaining sheath and extending beyond the second end of the retaining sheath, the second conductor rod in direct electrical communication and direct mechanical communication with the resistance wire. The resistance wire, the first conductor rod and the second conductor rod comprise a circuit achieving a power to voltage rating of about 5000:24.

摘要: Fuel cartridges for delivering fuel to a fuel consuming device, such as a fuel cell, are provided. Valves for use on cartridges or devices may include one or more internal seals that prevent fuel flow except when a valve is connected to a properly coupled corresponding valve and a seal between the two vales is established. Cartridge housings may include venting to maintain pressure equilibrium. A flexible or deformable fuel reservoir may be used with a pressurizing system that causes fuel to flow from a cartridge to a device independent of orientation.
