Further, the controller is configured to reverse polarity of the magnetic field of at least one of the plurality of coplanar coils based on a measure of coupling between coils and to select at least two of the plurality of coplanar coils for wireless power transmission based on the measure of coupling between coils.

The apparatus includes a power supply circuit configured to convert direct current received from a renewable power source into alternating current. The alternating current is having a frequency. The apparatus further includes a power transmit circuit configured to receive the alternating current from the power supply circuit and to provide power to charge the electric vehicle using the alternating current. The power transmit circuit is further configured to substantially resonate at the frequency of the alternating current.

Each carrier may be assigned to a different antenna element configuration, each configuration providing a different coverage area. Different portions of a data stream may be transmitted simultaneously via each carrier, the amount of data in each portion of the data stream being defined based on the channel conditions.
