    摘要: The optic axis of a vehicle headlight comprises a reflector, an incandescent helix and a convergent lens. The reflection surface of the reflector is parabolic in the horizontal midplane section and is elliptical in vertical median section. A narrow band of light spreading out laterally is thus produced without supplementary optical components, particularly the diffusion disk or dispersion lens. A sharp light-to-dark boundary is obtained by a diaphragm having an effective straight edge 18 located below the outer ellipse focus, which is coincident with that one of the principal foci of the converging lens which is the nearer to the reflector.

    摘要: A dimmed headlight for a motor vehicle has a vertical center section defining an ellipse whose outer portion transits into an apex portion. The apex portion defines an inner focal point and an outer focal point and the upper elliptical portion defines a focal point coinciding with said inner focal point and a plurality of outer focal points located on the long axis of the ellipse behind the outer focal point of the apex portion when viewed in the direct of reflected light rays. An objective is arranged before the last one of the outer focal points to collect the reflected light rays. The lower part of the reflector contains a light reflecting member and a diaphragm extending transversely to the long axis in the outer focal point of the apex portion. The light reflecting member is oriented such as to reflect downwardly directed light rays from the light source against an upper part of the apex portion. In this manner, light intensity of reflected beam is increased and an improved illumination of the driveway before the vehicle is obtained.

    摘要: An antidazzle headlamp has a reflector which is asymmetric relative to a horizontal plane passing through an optical axis of the reflector. The contours of the reflector corresponding to vertical sections in parallel planes forming right angles with a horizontal plane passing through the optical axis, form an upper and a lower half ellipse. Both half ellipses in each vertical section have a common large axis which is staggered upward relative to the horizontal plane. In this manner an antidazzle light beam is created which guarantees an intensive and complete illumination of edges of a roadway even at a close range from the motor vehicle.

    摘要: A low beam headlamp includes a reflector defining an optical axis and an incandescent filament forming a cylindrical coil whose central axis extends in a horizontal plane through the focal point and forms right angles with the optical axis. The light reflecting surface of the reflector is divided into six zones of which two lateral zones when viewed in the direction of the optical axis form together a paraboloid sector. The upper left hand wall portion and a lower right hand wall portion form together a second paraboloid sector whose central axis is inclined upwards relative to a central axis of the first paraboloid sector. An upper right hand wall portion and a lower left hand wall portion form together a composite paraboloid-ellipsoid sector whose sections taken in parallel vertical planes form parts of parabolas whereas sections taken in parallel horizontal planes form parts of ellipses. The projection of the resulting partial light beams provides a partially overlapping spot of concentrated light and two lateral flat partial beams.

    摘要: The reflection surface of a rectangular reflector for a lower beam headlamp is composed of four sectors delimited by transition lines. Two diametrically opposed left and right sectors (11, 12) form a part of a paraboloid projecting a hot light spot. The diametrically opposed upper and lower sectors (13, 14) are part of a paraboloid-ellipsoid defining a parabola in its vertical center section and an ellipsis in its horizontal center section. The latter sectors project a light spot having a broad light dispersion and an increased front field illumination.
